5.2 Saran
Penelitian ini dapat diaplikasikan untuk provinsi lain di Indonesia yang juga menggunakan jalur perhubungan darat. Perlu penelitian lanjutan mengenai faktor lain seperti ekonomi, sosial, pendidikan, budaya, dan pelayanan kesehatan terhadap gangguan penglihatan di Jawa Barat.
Untuk menurunkan jumlah gangguan penglihatan di provinsi Jawa Barat, pemerintah perlu meminimalkan jarak antara rumah sakit dan masyarakat. Ada beberapa hal yang dapat dipertimbangkan yaitu:
1. Meningkatkan proporsi rumah sakit yang dapat memberikan pelayanan kesehatan mata dengan menambah jumlah tenaga kesehatan dan fasilitas untuk operasi katarak di rumah sakit tersebut.
2. Membangun rumah sakit di daerah pesisir selatan Jawa Barat
3. Mempermudah akses masyarakat untuk menuju rumah sakit dengan perbaikan jalan dan meyediakan transportasi umum yang murah.
