INSTRUMENT PENELITIAN A. READING ENGLISH CONVERSATION TEST Read the conversation below!
Agus : Rita. It is been a whi le. How have you been?
Rita : Agus. Yes, you are right. I am great. How about you?
Agus : Me too. By the way, what are you going to do after graduate?
Rita : I am going to continue studying for a master‟s degree. How about you?
Agus : I am going to find a job as soon as I graduate.
Rita : Best of luck.
Agus : Thanks loads. Anyway, why are you planning to continue studying instead of finding a job?
Rita : Because, I considere that education is very important aspect to me. It can help me to open more doors of opportunities.
Agus : What opportunities are they?
Rita : The opportunities to get better job to secure my future.
Agus : Are you sure about that? There are some people with master‟s degree that are having difficulty to find a job, because of their lack experience of work.
Rita : It is very unfortunate, but as I said earlier, education opens more opportunities. There are many companies and institutions which will hire people with higher educational background even without work experience. All we need to do is that only to keep trying until we get what we want. Besides, there is nothing wrong to keep studying. I believe knowledge that we obtain from studying in college will really useful for us.
Agus : I get your points, and I agree that education is very important. But for me, if we can get a job after we graduate, why bother going back to school? I mean, in the end, after going back to school, we still have to get a job. right?
Rita : Yes, that is right, but every person has different opinion towards this matter, and I already stated mine.
Agus : Yeah, you are right.
