Externally like Emballonura semicaudata fromSamoa
except that the size is appreciably greater (forearm 48.5 instead of 45, tibia 19insteadof i'7); generalcolorprouts brown, slightly
washed
with drab below; skulldecidedlylargerthanthatofE. semicaudata (greatest length 17-17.4 insteadof 14.4-15, but not peculiarin general form orin proportion of parts, except that anterior palatine emargination issomewhat
deeperand
mesopterygoid space wider; dorsal surfaceof ros-trum
with conspicuousmedian
longitudinal sulcus nearly 1mm.
wide extending from narestofrontof sagittal crestand
completely separating the inflated lateral areas. In E. semicaudata the inflated areas are broadlyincontact alongmedian
line,sothat longitudinal grooveisnearly effaced. Teeth larger than those ofthe related species but with no appreciablepeculiarities ofform.Measurements.
