Accounting for Time During Weather Closing
Employees are reminded that only "Essential Personnel" who were specifically called in to work during this week's weather closing will be paid for those hours actually worked.
If you reported to work, but were not required to do so, you must report the hours that you were here on your time sheet and will be paid only for those hours. If you were not required to be here but were already scheduled for vacation or were sick you must report your hours as vacation or sick.
If you were not "essential" and did not report to work you will record your time as "excused" and make a note in the comment section "Weather Day."
Supervisors must confirm with the Vice President or Provost for their area whether or not a person is considered "essential" before they approve time worked during the shutdown.
If you have any questions please contact the Payroll Office or Human Resources.
