Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui masalah apa yang dialami siswa dan faktor apa yang menyebabkan masalah siswa dalam presentasi kelas berbicara bahasa Inggris.

In the teaching and learning process, speaking is one of the subjects that students at school should master. Many reasons contributed to students' difficulties in speaking English for the class presentation, such as: housing, students' fear of criticism or general shyness are all elements that make students' speaking difficult in the class presentation.

So the researchers are interested to analyze, identify and know what causes the students to have difficulty in speaking English and how they perceive when they speak during the class presentation which are usually done by the students in MTsN 1 Bima Town. Therefore, the researcher took the title “Analysis of students' difficulties in speaking English for classroom presentations in the second grade in MTsN 1 Bima Town.
Objective and Significance of the Research
The result of this study is expected to provide an alternative, useful and valid solution to determine the difficulties of students in speaking English. For the second grade students of MTsN 1 Bima Town, this research can help for their difficulties in English speaking class.

According to the findings of the researcher, pupils who do not have the language in the second grade use Indonesian when they are forced to speak English. During the interview process, the majority of the students said that the English language is very difficult for them. The first was lack of vocabulary due to the students' lack of experience, based on interview results. Based on the research result and discussion result, it can be concluded that there were 2nd grade students in MTsN 1 Bima Town 2022 who faced several causes of speaking difficulties when giving class presentations. There were several reasons that students in English-speaking meetings face, they were (lack of pronunciation, lack of motivation, lack of grammar, lack of practice, lack of confidence). The researcher found that the biggest reasons for the students were lack of vocabulary and lack of confidence.
The students became nervous, shy, afraid of making mistakes, lack of motivation and worry about being criticized. When they speak English in front of the class, they can't speak English well when they get nervous, although they are fluent in English, but when they get anxious, they can't speak English well. The other problem that the second grade students faced was lack of boredom, self-confidence, shyness, fear of making mistakes, lack of motivation and worry of being criticized.
Suggestion
According to the results of the interviews, students were extremely motivated to participate in the learning process both offline and online (dare), but only for some subjects, and they have their own motivation in learning English. I need to be able to speak in English with people from all over the world. At first it was easy, but by the end of the presentation, I had forgotten some of the words I wanted to use.
Informant F: Sometimes I am confident and sometimes not; I lack confidence when I'm not prepared or I don't study and practice speaking in and out of class. In my opinion, the cost of the course is not always high, some are even low, depending on the financial situation of each parent. Informant A: Before I make a presentation, I will remember the place of the word I will use, and then the teacher and friends in the class will sometimes correct it.
Informant K: Frankly, some friends I saw objected to the presentation and some took it easy. Informant S: I once practiced English with my friends on one of the terraces in the classroom, instead of responding to us, they even mocked and said that we are showing them off. Informant A: The difficult thing about speaking English is the pronunciation, because the writing of the letters and the pronunciation are very different, where we call the color 'kolor' and the others laugh.
Informant K: The most difficult thing during a presentation is when we pronounce the sentence according to the sound of the letters.
