UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENGENDALIAN VOCABULARY SISWA KELAS III SDIT WAHDATUL UMMAH METRO. Penulis mencoba bersaksi bahwa Teknik Drill dapat menjadi salah satu teknik pengajaran untuk meningkatkan kosa kata siswa. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan kemampuan kosakata siswa kelas 3 SDIT Wahdatul Ummah Metro dan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana Teknik Drill dapat membantu proses belajar siswa.

Penulis mencoba membuktikan bahwa teknik drill dapat menjadi salah satu teknik pengajaran untuk meningkatkan kosa kata siswa. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah, berdasarkan analisis data, bahwa pada siklus 1 rata-rata skor tes awal adalah (55,5) dan hanya 4 siswa yang mendapat nilai lebih dari 75.

The drill technique is teaching students by asking them to repeat after the teacher. Based on the table above, we know that most of the students get a bad grade and out of 30 students, only 4 students passed in learning English. The researcher will use the drilling technique to improve the vocabulary of students in the third grade of SDIT Wahdatul Ummah Metro.

From the quote above, it can be inferred that vocabulary is a list of words in alphabetical order in dictionaries as symbols of ideas that people need to express and communicate their ideas, both from the first language and second language. Vocabulary is a very important part of language in language learning to achieve the goal of language learning.

The Kind of Vocabulary

Based on the explanation above, the teacher must be creative to find out and use effective technique to improve students' English vocabulary. Nevertheless, this research only focuses on noun, verb and adjective because noun, verb and adjective is a basic element of the word which will make the language meaningful. Noun, verb and adjective are very important part of words in learning language to achieve the purpose of learning language.

Verbs are words that show the name of an action, such as sit, stand up, study, play, read and write. Use a preposition that begins with a consonant sound and a preposition that begins with a vowel sound. 6.

Teaching vocabulary in Elementary School

When a language learner makes a mistake or misunderstands something, the teacher does not use direct correction. The teacher must be creative to discover an effective and interesting technique that will help the student to improve his vocabulary. It is given so that the student remembers the material given by the teacher.

The student has an easier time understanding the lesson and more people remember the material because the students are taught by the teacher and the students always try to do tasks. The teacher asks the students about food and drinks to know whether they have understood it or not. The teacher asks the students to do the test based on the material to know the result of the students' acquisition of the lesson.

In this research, the researcher needs a colleague to help her in this research, this is caused as a new researcher. The pre-test is given in the first meeting before the treatments are conducted to know the ability of the students before doing the action research. The post-test is given at the last meeting after the treatments done to find out if the treatments have made any contribution to the students' achievement in the classroom or not. The impact can be seen if the average post-test score is higher than the pre-test.

The researcher used this method to obtain data on the history of the school, total teachers, employed officials and students in SDIT Wahdatul Ummah Metro. To collect data more accurately, the researcher uses field notes; it will make the analyzed data simpler.

The building condition of the state SDIT Wahdatul Ummah Metro SDIT Wahdatul Ummah has some buildings as follows: 14 SDIT Wahdatul Ummah has some buildings as follows: 14 classroom, 1 main room and official room, 1 teacher's room, 2 bathroom, 1 library and 1 mosque. SDIT Wahdatul Ummah would be the best school in the spiritual, emotional, intellectual and care for environment with culture, value and nation.

Description of Findings

Before the researcher gave the material, the researcher asked the student: "Do you like fruits?". The student answers together: "Yes, of course." Then the researcher asked: "Which fruit do you like?". Lots of fruits so the researcher gave a simple song and the student was very excited.

Then the researcher showed the picture and repeatedly asked the students to name the word together. Finally, the bell rang and the researcher closed the lesson and reminded the student to study hard. Then the researcher showed the picture of vegetables and wrote the vocabulary words on the board.

The researcher gave the student the opportunity to ask if they did not understand the material. The researcher gave them some exercises from the textbook, then we checked it at the meeting. The researcher was opened the meeting to greet, pray, ask, their condition and check the attendance list.

After twenty minutes, the researcher and collaborator gave a post-test at cycle 2 with the similar task on the pre-test cycle 1. The post-test was given because the researcher wants to know the improvement students' vocabulary in cycle 2. Finally, the researcher would not have to enter the other cycle because the 80% students were successful.

Interpretation

From the result of the table, there is an improvement from the students' score from the average score 49.1 improvement 58.5. From the analysis, the student results in the pre-test show that most of the students had difficulty remembering the vocabulary. The students had difficulty remembering the words when the student heard the word for the first time.

Repetition helps the student acquire permanent knowledge because the training technique is given step by step. Post-test 1 same as pre-test, but the questions only had the numbers changed. From the test, it was seen that the students' vocabulary mastery had improved, but it did not meet 85%.

From the improvement of pre-test and post-test cycle 1, it knows that drilling technique could improve students' vocabulary. The comparison of the average grade of the students on the pre-test, post-test 1 and post-test 2. From the analysis data, the researcher concluded that drilling technique is a good technique to improve the students' vocabulary mastery.

In kind of Drill Technique, it is replacement exercise which also aims for the student to practice finding and filling the vocabulary in singlef. Then in Translation Drill, the student is trained to memorize vocabulary more because the student has trained to translate from English to Indonesian. This is all that makes the student able to improve Students' Vocabulary to understand the meaning of the words.

Suggestion

APPANDICES

The student must be able to repeat what he hears with correct English pronunciation. Students should be able to spell the vocabulary words based on the picture with the correct spelling (vegetables). Students can memorize vocabulary and complete sentences by using an alternative word based on the picture.

The students must be able to spell vocabulary from the picture with the correct spelling (food and drinks). Most students are not ready with the new method - Most students find it difficult to complete the task - There are some students who are not active in class. Some students enjoyed the new method - Some students could easily complete the task - Some students active in teaching learning Thirdly.
