Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa keterampilan siswa dalam menulis teks prosedur. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif.

Populasi dari penelitian ini merupakan seluruh siswa kelas sembilan SMP Negeri 2 Tanjungpinang pada tahun akademik 2022/2023. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 9.6, yang terdiri dari 36 siswa. Peneliti menggunakan penilaian kategori keterampilan siswa dalam menulis teks prosedur dari Jihad dan Harris.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis teks prosedur berada pada tingkat kategori baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat berdasarkan nilai rata-rata siswa yaitu 81.11

The objective of this study was to analyze students’ writing skill of procedure text. This research design was descriptive qualitative. The population of this research was the ninth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tanjungpinang in the academic year 2022/2023. The research subject was the 9.6 grade students, consisting 36 students. Researcher used assessments of students’ writing skill of procedure text categorized by Jihad and Harris. The result of this study shows the students’ writing skill of procedure text were in good level category. It can be seen from the mean score of the students which is 81.11.

Program of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji Tanjungpinang as a partial fulfillment of the requirements for S1 degree.
