ABSTRAK
Skripsi S-1 ini berjudul “KATEKESE EKOLOGI SEBAGAI UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEPEDULIAN UMAT DI PAROKI KELUARGA KUDUS SEPOTONG TERHADAP LINGKUNGAN HIDUP.” Penulis memilih judul ini karena melihat kerusakan lingkungan yang cukup parah di Paroki Keluarga Kudus Sepotong. Krisis ekologi membuat kehidupan umat semakin menderita. Ketertarikan penulis akan krisis ekologi diperkuat oleh ensiklik Laudato Si’ dari Bapa Paus Fransiskus yang mengajak umat merawat bumi. Penulisan ini akan membahas dua permasalahan pokok. Apa yang dimaksud katekese ekologi? Sejauh mana umat sudah mulai peduli dengan lingkungan hidup? Untuk menanggapi masalah pokok ini penulis melakukan studi dokumen dan melakukan penelitian kualitatif. Langkah pertama yang dilakukan penulis adalah melakukan observasi dengan terjun langsung ke lapangan.
Setelah melakukan observasi penulis melakukan wawancara terstruktur dan mendalam. Respondennya ada 11 orang sebagai perwakilan dari kelompok yang berkepentingan. Selain itu, penulis juga mewawancarai romo Paroki sebagai triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umat sudah mulai peduli dengan krisis ekologi. Katekese ekologi harus segera dilakukan untuk mendukung kesadaran umat yang baru tumbuh sehingga semakin mencintai keutuhan alam ciptaan. Selain itu katekese ekologi juga membantu umat mengubah cara pola hidup yang antroposentris menjadi ekosentris.

ABSTRACT
The undergraduate thesis is entitled "ECOLOGICAL CATECHESIS AS AN EFFORT TO IMPROVE PEOPLE'S CAREFULNESS IN SEPOTONG HOLY FAMILY PARIS ON THE ENVIRONMENT." The author chose this title because he saw the environmental damage that was quite severe in the Holy Family Parish. The ecological crisis makes people's lives even more miserable. The author's interest in the ecological crisis is strengthened by the encyclical Laudato Si' from Pope Francis, which invites people to take care of the earth. This paper will discuss two main problems. What is meant by ecological catechesis? To what extent have people started to care about the environment? To respond to this main problem, the writer conducted a document study and conducted qualitative research. The first step the author takes is to make observations by going directly to the field. After observing the authors conducted structured and in-depth interviews. The respondents were 11 people as representatives of interested groups. In addition, the author also interviewed the parish priest as a triangulation. The results of the study show that people have started to care about the ecological crisis. Ecological catechesis must be carried out immediately to support the awareness of the people who are just growing so that they love the integrity of this created nature even more. In addition, ecological catechesis also helps people change their anthropocentric way of life to become ecocentric.
