Sitzung am 17. Januar 1914
Anwesend waren: Fr. Vonnegut, Scherer, Rath,
Lieber, Steichmann + Westing.
Das Protokoll der letzten Sitzung wurde
verlesen und angenommen.
Auf Antrag Liebers wurde beschlossen, die bezahlten
Noten von $10.- je, auf für 5 Jahre an den
Unterzeichnern dieser Noten zurückzusenden, mit
einem Begleitschreiben, worin der Wunsch für das
weitere Wohlwollen der Gönner des Seminars gesagt ist.
Auf Antrag Rath’s wurde beschlossen, für den
Schwimmunterricht das Schwimmbaisein im Marion
Club zu mieten.
Auf Empfehlung der Adm. Behörde beschlossen,
den Mitgliedern des Verwaltungsrates die Ausstellung
eines Turnlehrerdiploms an Fritz Knorr aus Lawrence, Mass.
und Chris Werest, Brooklyn N.Y., zur Abstimmung
zu unterbreiten.
Auf Empfehlung der Adm. Behörde wurde beschlossen,
anstatt Dr. Wood’s, welcher die Stadt verlieβ, Dr.
Acker für den Unterricht in Civic Hygiene
für das nächste Semester anzustellen.
Da fast alle Kataloge für das laufende Jahr
versandt wurden, wurde die Adm. Behörde ersucht,
die neuen Kataloge etwas früher herstellen zu lassen.
Es wurde beschlossen, alle Rechnungen, welche zum
Teil vom Sozialen Turnverein bezahlt werden,
vorläufig aus der Seminarkasse zu zahlen, und dann
am Ende des Jahres mit dem Turnverein
abzurechnen.
Die Adm. Behörde legte die Nebengesetze, wie
amendirt, in gedruckter Form vor.

Meeting on January 17, 1914.
Present: Fr. Vonnegut, Scherer, Rath, Lieber, Steichmann and Westing.
Last meeting’s minutes were read and approved.
Lieber moved to send back the paid $10 notes to those who signed them for the duration of five years, with an accompanying note expressing the wish these benefactors continue to care for the Seminary. Motion passed.
Rath moved to rent the swimming pool of the Marion Club for the swim classes. Motion passed.
Upon the recommendation of the Admin. Office, it was decided to submit the matter of awarding gymnastic teacher diplomas to Fritz Knorr, Lawrence, Mass. and Chris Werest, Brooklyn N.Y. to the Board of Trustees for their vote.
Upon the recommendation of the Admin. Office, it was decided to hire Dr. Acker to teach Civic Hygiene next semester thus replacing Dr. Wood who moved out of town.
Since almost all catalogs for the current year have been sent out, the Admin. Office was asked to have the new catalogs ready a little sooner.
Decided to pay all bills partially paid by the Sozialer Turnverein (Social Gymnastic Union) from the Seminary’s treasury at this point and then square the books with the Sozialer Turnverein at the end of the year.
The Admin. Office submitted the By-laws in printed format as amended.
