Abstract
This research is about the correlation between the students’ perception and attitude towards their pronunciation accuracy. The subjects of this research were the eighth-grade students of five Junior High Schools in Adipala Sub-distrcict in Cilacap regency. The population of this research was 650 students This research applied random sampling. 100 students were investigated as the subjects in this research. To obtain the data, the researcher employed questionnaires and pronunciation test. The pronunciation test was taken from ELSA Speak Application.. In analyzing the data, the researcher used Descriptive Statistics, Pearson Product Moment and Multiple Linear Regression. Research results revealed that (1) The students’ perception towards the pronunciation accuracy was positive with the mean of the questionnaire was 4 (2) The students’ attitude towards the pronunciation accuracy was positive with the mean of the questionnaire was 3.7 (3) The mean of the pronunciation accuracy was 44.19 that was considered moderate. (4) There was a significant correlation between the students’ perceptions and their pronunciation accuracy with the r-value 0.472 (5) There was a significant correlation between the students’ attitude and their pronunciation accuracy with the r-value 0.494 (6) There was a correlation between the students’ perception and attitude towards the pronunciation accuracy with the p-value of perception 0.043 and the t-value of perception 2.053 meanwhile the p-value of the attitude was 0.009 with the t-value of the attitude was 2.658.
