PROGRAM ON LAW AND STATE GOVERNMENT
The day started with a presentation by Professor Baker on "Big Goals and the Fine Print of State Energy Policy". A forecast of Indiana electricity consumption, prices and resource requirements. The first lecture of the fellowship was presented by elliott mckinnis and was titled, "Delivering Renewable Energy Through Legislation: An Analysis of State Renewable Electricity Standards."

Established in 2005 by the Executive Council of the Taxation Section of the Indianapolis Bar Association, this scholarship goes to a. Established in 2004, this award is sponsored by the Health Law Section of the Indiana State Bar Association. The award is given to a student member of the IndIana Health Law Review at the end of the student's first year of membership for demonstrated excellence in writing a note of publishable quality.
This award is given by the Taxation Section of the Indiana State Bar Association, Indianapolis, Indiana. This annual scholarship was established by the Indianapolis Bar Association and Bar Foundation in honor of the Honorable S. MAINE ADVOCACY AWARD. This award is given to the top advocate in the final round of the Law School intramural moot court competition.
Awarded to the best lawyer in the preliminary rounds of the law school's intramural competition. The scholarship is awarded to a law student who has completed two semesters in the courses Legal Analysis, Research and Communication and has written the best bief among those prepared for class assignments. Woodard, who was a longtime member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and a professor at the law school.

On April 22, 2009, in the IUPUI Campus Center, Chancellor Charles Bantz and several hundred community leaders and citizens gathered for the twenty-first annual Philanthropy Awards Luncheon, co-sponsored by the Indiana University Philanthropy Center, the IU Foundation. and the IUPUI campus. More than 100 attorneys represent over 500 organizations in a variety of healthcare-related matters from fraud and abuse to real estate contracts to HIPPAA and tax regulations.

The School of Law mourns the death of Professor Mary Harter Mitchell, who died on 4 November 2009 at the age of 56. Cohen Professor of Law in 2004 was much loved by everyone in the law family.
Remembering Professor Mary Harter Mitchell
CARRIE HAGAN-GRAy joined the Law School faculty this fall as a clinical associate professor of law in the civil practice clinic. From 2005–07 she worked as a family law attorney and guardian ad litem at the Legal Aid Society. Corporation in Houston, Texas and served as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston Law Center, where he taught tax ethics and advanced corporate taxation.
What he can and will no doubt do for our ip program here, which is so important to the local bar and business community, is tremendous. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and for Judge John Paul Stevens in the U.S.

Rector Emeritus Bepko is also the chairman of the succession committee for the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Lumina Education Foundation from March 2009 to December 2009. Rector Emeritus Bepko was appointed honorary co-chairman of the committee for the celebration of Bishop t. JEFF COOPER was appointed to and serves on the Local Rules Advisory Committee of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
EDWARDS gave a presentation in Rome, Italy at the Commission for Cultural Exchange between the United States and Italy (Commissione per gli scambi Culturali fra l'italia e gli stati uniti), a US branch office. While in Rome, Professor Edwards was also a delegate to the 137th Meeting of the Council of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (Fao), held at Fao World Headquarters from 28 September to 2 October. GERARD MAGLIOCCA has published two articles: “Why Did the Establishment of the Bill of Rights Fail at the End of the Nineteenth Century?” 94 minutes.
WHITE, Emeritus Professor, worked as a consultant at Peking University Transnational Law School in Shenzhen, PR from May 30 to June 3. On June 6, the aBa Education Council hosted a dinner in his honor, and from June 16 to 19, he was in Lausanne, Switzerland, to review the legal education program there. On July 7, Professor White attended the aBa International Board meeting in Chicago, and later that month he traveled to Galway, Ireland, to speak at the consortium's summer program. August found Professor White back in Chicago at the aBa Annual Meeting, and on October 5 he spoke at the Widener University Law School 20th Anniversary Celebration in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. On October 29, he visited California Western School of Law for a Board of Visitors meeting in San Diego and participated in the evaluation of the UNC Law School website in Charlotte on November 19-20. Professor White was reappointed to the Advisory Board of the American Bar Association's Central and Eastern European Legal Initiative and serves on the Board of Trustees of Butler University, where he serves as Board Secretary and Chair of the Academic Affairs Committee and the Holcolm Research Institute. The Student Organization for Alumni Relations (SOAR), the Central Indiana Chapter of the IU Alumni Association and the IUPUI Alumni Council co-sponsored the event. Craig, was selected for inclusion in the 2010 Best Trust & Real Estate Lawyers in America.

COX, an attorney at Lewis Wagner, has been invited to become a Litigation Counsel Fellow of the Trial Lawyers Association of America (lCa). Cox was also appointed co-chair of the American Bar Association's Membership Subcommittee of the Professional Liability Litigation Committee, Division of Litigation. ADAMS, a partner at the law firm of Cohen Garelick & Glazier has been selected to serve on the advisory board for the Barrington of Carmel.

Alumni Association Board of Directors
Born November 8, 1952 in Mishawaka, Indiana, she graduated from law school with honors in 1994. District Court, as a senior associate at Locke Reynolds LLP and as an adjunct professor of law at the IU School of Law-Indianapolis. At the time of her death, she was general counsel for the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority and a board member of the Indiana Coalition against Domestic Violence, Indiana Legal Services, Inc.
In 2000, Deb Hepler founded the Protective Order Pro Bono Project of Greater Indianapolis, a project that provides free legal services to victims of domestic violence. In recognition of these efforts, she was honored as Outstanding Alumna of the Year by the law school's Alumnae Network in 2005. Her other awards include the 2005 Chancellor's Community Award for Excellence in Civil Engagement and the 2001 Prelude to Light Award from the Domestic Violence Network of Greater Indianapolis.
