13. Students are able to explain the chemical structure, class of drugs, activity and spectrum, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and side effects of anticancer
15. Benefits of Courses
Pharmacotherapy is a part of pharmacology which means the drugs used for healing or treatment purposes. The use of drugs is an activity related to the selection and use rationally and correctly for the treatment purposes. Prevention and diagnosis of a disease based on the rules of knowledge about drugs, while treatment is an effort to cure the disease. By studying pharmacotherapy, it can be obtained the knowledge about pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, side effects, toxic effects, indications, dosages and drug interactions as well as knowledge about the pathophysiology and pathogenesis of treated diseases.
Besides that, by studying this course, knowledge of toxicology was obtained including the knowledge of poisons, toxicity, toxic substances mechanism, clinical symptoms caused by poisoning and knowledge of handling poisoning and test the toxicity of a drugs.
16. Course Strategy
In lectures, students are expected to learn in advance the prerequisite courses that have been followed and read the instructional material / hand out that has been determined first.
The lecturer only gives outlines of the subject or sub-subject or gives an explanation of the material included in veterinary pharmacotherapy and toxicology, then students are expected to ask questions that are less clear and also answer the lecturer questions.
Students will also given assignments besides midterms and final semester examinations 17. Lecture Material or Reading

18. Lecture Assignments Group Assignments:
Week 1 - 7 of each group that has been determined, collects the group assignments with the topic that given by supervisor before Midterms semester examinations.
Individual Assignments:
Week 15: Every student is required to collect the assignments according to the topics that given by supervisor.
19. Assessment Criteria Scoring System
Each test is given a raw score in the form of 0 to 100. Especially for the final score, the assessment is given in 7 grades, namely: A, AB, B, BC, C, D and E.
The final score of a course is determined from the combined results of the evaluation of all test scores held by the lecturer concerned. Examples of test weights (quiz), (structured assignments), (Practical exam), (soft skills), (MSE), (LSE) tests are 1.5: 1.5: 2: 1: 2: 3.
Example:
X students take the Pharmacotherapy and Veterinary toxicology exam, the value for each exam is as follows:
Quiz test = 70
MSE = 70
Assignment = 65
LSE = 75
Practical exam = 60 Softskill = 80
Then the final value (still in raw value)
Processing Final Score (raw score / in the form of numbers) becomes a Quality Score in the form of letters processed in 7 (seven) grades. From the final score (raw score), the mean value (X) can be processed. The grouping of values is done using the ASSESSMENT REFERENCE ASSESSMENT (PAP) as follows
(70x1,5) + (65x1,5) + (60 x 2) + (70 x 2) + (75 x 3)+ 80 1,5 + 1,5 + 2 + 2 + 3+1
767,5
11 = 69,77
Raw Score Letter Grade
≥ 75 70 – 74.9 65 – 69.9 60 – 64.9 55 – 59.9 40 – 54.9
< 40
A AB
B BC
C D E
The score presentation from the processing results in above uses 7 ratings, as follows:
Letter Grade Quality Score A
AB B BC
C D E
4 3,5
3 2,5
2 1 0 20. Etc
• Students are allowed to attend the LSE if 75% are present in the lecture (min 9 times present, for new students) and 50% are present (for repeating students)
• If you do not take quiz, uts, you must have a doctor's certificate and a maximum of 1 week after quiz / uts / you will immediately take the follow-up exam
• Collection of structured assignments and practicum reports maximum of 1 week from the provision of assignments / practical activities
• Type question for quiz: essays
• For MSE and LSE : multiple choice
