Module objectives/int ended learning outcomes

ILO-3: An ability to manage and utilize natural resources (agriculture and environment) and the supporting resources (human resources, infrastucture, etc.) in an optimal way and sustainable

ILO-5: An ability to identify, formulating, analysing and solving problems in the fiels of agricultural engineering through systems approach

(2)

ILO-6: An ability to conduct research, explore, develop and apply science and technology in the field of agricultural engineering science

Objectives: This course provides an explanation of soil as a medium for growing plants that need water, plant responses to changes in water in the soil,

including the provision of nutrient elements, the relationship between soil and plants, water adsorption by roots and the process in plant physiological systems, water stress in plants, as well as the relationship between soil and plants related to the influence of soil physical properties on plant growth.

Knowledge: familiarity with the nutrient elements, the relationship between soil and plants, water adsorption by roots and the process in plant physiological systems, water stress in plants, as well as the relationship between soil and plants related to the influence of soil physical properties on plant growth Skills: cognitive – Apply the role of water, water availability for plant needs,

water stress in plants, soil physical properties, plant growth models to optimize plant growth. Phsycomotoric - practical abilities to analyze water absorption, soil strength, soil response, water stress, and plant growth models.

Competences: Student able to evaluate the effect of soil and water to the plant growth
