A DAY IN MY LIFE

As the sun peeks over the horizon, casting a golden glow across the small village in East Bandung Regency where I live, my day begins. Living in this quaint, peaceful village has its charms, but my journey as a student of Informatics at an international women's university in the bustling city of Bandung presents a unique set of challenges and experiences.

My alarm rings at 5:00 AM, a reminder that I need to catch the 6:00 AM train to the city.

After a quick breakfast and a cup of strong coffee, I leave my home, walking through narrow, winding paths that lead to the village train station. The fresh morning air and the sound of roosters crowing are a stark contrast to the day ahead in the city.

The train ride to Bandung takes about an hour and a half. During this time, I usually catch up on my reading or review notes for my classes. The journey is often crowded, with fellow commuters and students sharing the same space. Despite the hustle and bustle, the rhythmic clatter of the train on the tracks has a calming effect, allowing me to mentally prepare for the day ahead.

Upon arriving in Bandung, the contrast is immediately apparent. The city's vibrant energy is a far cry from the serene environment of my village. I make my way through the crowded streets, navigating the busy traffic and throngs of people. My university is a beacon of

modern education, offering state-of-the-art facilities and a diverse, dynamic environment that fuels my passion for learning.

My typical day at the university is packed with lectures, laboratory sessions, and group projects. As an Informatics student, my coursework involves a mix of programming, data analysis, and problem-solving exercises. I find great joy in coding and developing software, knowing that these skills will be crucial in my future career.

Lunchtime is a welcome break, where I get to socialize with my friends from different parts of the world. The university's cafeteria offers a variety of international cuisines, reflecting the diverse student body. These interactions broaden my perspectives and enrich my university experience.

Afternoon classes are often more intensive, with hands-on lab sessions that require focus and collaboration. Despite the rigorous schedule, I thrive on the challenges and enjoy pushing the boundaries of my knowledge. The support from my professors and peers is invaluable, creating a nurturing learning environment.

As the day draws to a close, I make my way back to the train station for the journey home.

The evening train is usually less crowded, giving me some quiet time to reflect on the day and plan for the next. Arriving back in my village, I am greeted by the familiar sights and sounds of home.

Evenings are spent with my family, sharing stories from the day over dinner. I often spend a few hours studying or working on assignments before heading to bed. The cycle repeats, each day bringing new opportunities and experiences.

Balancing life between the tranquility of my village and the dynamic pace of university life in Bandung is challenging, but it is a journey that I cherish. It allows me to appreciate the best of both worlds, fostering personal growth and academic success.
