It could be concluded that the purpose of reading is for students to understand the meaning of the text they are reading. Based on the above statement, the effectiveness of comprehension depends on the strategies students use to understand and interpret the text.

An article shows that the students can say that they understand the material. If the students are able to interpret and decide what they read, they can make a connection between what they read and what they already know, and think more deeply about what they read. To understand the argumentative paragraph, the writer can have the strategies of arguments.

The Argumentative Paragraph Reading Strategies

The strategy I used to solve my problem reading the argumentative paragraph was the skimming technique; When reading an argumentative paragraph, I usually look for the topic and list the reason for it. My problem in reading the argumentative paragraph is unfamiliar words, because my vocabulary was low.

The strategy I used to solve my problem in reading the argumentative paragraph was skim reading technique using the strategy I am trying to find. My problem with reading the argumentative paragraph is isolated words that I find difficult to read the argumentative. To study, when reading an argumentative paragraph, I first find the main idea and then identify it. During the reading, she read the argumentative paragraph several times and gave a conclusion after reading.

The language used by the lecturer when explaining the material was 40 English and 60 Indonesian. Teaching material about Readability and the teacher writes the material on the white board. In the leaming process of teaching, when the lecturer was explaining the material, half of the students made noise by talking with their friends, so they disturbed the attention of other students who were studying.

Furthermore, the lecturer gave feedback to the students to ask about the material and concluded the material teaching by giving assignments. Based on observation, the condition of class B was calm because its students were few. The students were divided by the lecturer into four groups, each group consisted of 4 (four) and 5 (five) students to answer the question of the book and discuss about the determination of main idea determination of the types of text, determination .

The title of the book that Class A used to teach learning was "A Reading Skills" by Elaine Kirn and Pamela Harunann. The presentation was given by the third group, they presented the Olympic Games and orally answered questions about it, when the other groups gave they had the opportunity to ask about the material presented by the third group. When the leaders could not answer the questions of the other group, they gave the opportunity to the lecturer to answer.

Before the lecturer closed the lesson of the material he gave explanations about the material presented by the presenters.
