In this step, the researcher brought 30 theses specifically about the introductory chapter and then copied it to prepare the data source. The researcher read all the data, especially 30 introductory chapters, to get as much information as possible about the main point of the main point. In this step, the researcher made some categories of the result substantiated by the researcher.

Categories include form of passive voice mistakes in introductory chapter of students university theses. Use the coding process to generate a description of the environment or people, as well as categories or themes for analysis. The writer grouped the forms of passive voice usage errors found in the introductory chapter of university theses.

By interpreting the result of the research, the researcher would be able to know what the errors constitute of passive voice in the introductory chapter of the students' undergraduate theses at the State Islamic College of.

Jurai Siwo Metro and to know the most dominant error form of passive voice found in the introduction to the undergraduate theses of the students of the State Islamic College of Jurai Siwo Metro.

Second, the Tarbiya Faculty includes the Study Program of Islamic Education (PAI), the Study Program of English Education (PBI), the Study Program of Primary School Education (PGMI), the Study Program of Arabic Education (PBA) and the of Islamic Kindergarten Education Study (PGRA). To support the lecturers and students, there are several facilities in STAIN Jurai Siwo Metro namely: Lecturer's room, Computer Lab Unit & Baitul Mal wa Tamwil, Library Unit, Language Lab Unit, Micro-Teaching. The English Education Study Program (PBI) is one of the main courses of Strata 1 (S1) of the Tarbiyah faculty and classified as the most preferred degree among other degrees in the State Islamic College (STAIN) JuraiSiwo Metro.

This continues until most recent STAIN enrollees choose this major as their first priority. PBI's vision lies in "creating professional students in English education who are able to integrate with Islamic values ​​and the academic dimension". This is to form a student with high negotiation in the future. Second, the process of education related to some objects in PBI can be examined through all parts of PBI facilitators who are classified as institutional pedagogues and additional pedagogues with some educational classification and experience.

Indeed, it will be a dynamic, open and courteous relationship between stakeholders in PBI STAIN.

General Description of Research Data

As the primary data research, the date was taken from 30 introductory chapter of undergraduate theses of students from English Education Study Program in sate Islamic College of Jurai Siwo Metro in the academic year 2014/2015.

It is illustrated that there were errors in the use of the passive, which were found in the students' thesis. Students are not careful about using the passive voice structure when composing the introductory chapter of an undergraduate thesis.

Furthermore, it was investigated that there were some passive voice errors in the introductory chapter of the students' university thesis. The passive voice error which was analyzed in the introductory chapter was categorized into five types of errors. There was passive voice error structure, meaning errors, agent omissions, diction, and error tenses.

In addition, the most dominant mistake of using passive voice in the introductory chapter in the English Education Study Program on the undergraduate thesis of the students is wrong in the structure of passive voice sentences.
