I honestly declare that the thesis entitled "Improving students' writing ability using the strategy of writing in the form of flowers" is my real masterpiece. The aim of this research was to describe whether the use of the flower writing strategy was effective in improving students' writing achievement in learning English as a foreign language.

Many parties argue, as mentioned by Nurgiyantoro, that the language proficiency tree shows that writing skills are more difficult to master, even if the native population of the language does so.4 The low/more difficult writing skills are caused by general learning at every level of education. They called this instrument. The instrument is a tool used in research using methods.59 The writer used research instruments, one of the tools used to find answers in research as a result of learning planning used as a basic guideline.

Definition of Writing

18 This means that writing is not only the activity of recording or communicating in the medium of letters, but also the description of an expressive language that someone can understand, so that other people can read the symbols if they understand the language. From the different opinions about the meaning of writing, it can be concluded that writing is the activity of expressing ideas, information or thoughts in written form so that readers can understand it, it takes time and it is structured.

The improvement of students' writing skills can be done if there is a good preparation of the use of aids, it will be possible for the teacher to create a good language learning process in which the students' participation is dominant. Previous Study

First, Mellki Sara (2014) conducted a research on the comparative study of rapid writing and cursive writing strategy on students' writing achievement.52 The results showed that the use of cursive writing strategy could improve writing ability. of students because they were easy to develop ideas. Second, research by Melfi Yanti (2014) about teaching descriptive text writing using the flower writing strategy and the POW Strategy in high school. Third, research by Siska Nozalia (2014) about teaching writing by combining author's chair and flower writing strategy in junior high school.

The results showed that the author's chair and flowers writing strategy made it easy for students to develop and organize their ideas to make a good paragraph and also helped students become more interested and improve students' writing achievement. In this research, the researcher only used the Flower Writing Strategy to improve students' writing ability for junior high school students in Bengkulu, especially in grade VIII B of MTS Pancasila Bengkulu. With the above considerations in this research, the Flower Writing Strategy is used to teach writing in eighth grade middle school.

Conceptual Framework

The aim was to know the students' descriptive writing skills before giving the action. Based on the table, it showed that students' ability to write descriptive text consisted of 5% good (achieved by 1 student), 65%. The result of this research also showed that the use of flower writing strategy in teaching descriptive text writing can be useful to increase students' descriptive text writing.

The implementation of flower writing strategy and its complementary actions were successful and improved the students' writing ability during two cycles. Based on the findings and discussion of the research in the previous chapter, the researcher concludes that the use of Flower writing strategy was able to improve students' writing ability of descriptive text. When the teacher found many mistakes in the composition, especially when the teacher conducted informal assessment to focus attention on some special aspects, such as basic grammatical error, organization and ignoring the other, otherwise the students would see their face painted red. and feel discouraged. Data collection is all the data that is collected during the research, such as the data of the school situation, the students' abilities, as well as the teachers especially the English teachers in this research, etc. b) Data reduction. Data reduction refers to the process of selecting, focusing, amplifying, abstracting, and transforming data that appears in written field notes.

Verification, integral to inference, involves revising the data as needed to cross-check or verify these new conclusions. In this step, the data that has been displayed and linked is rechecked to see systematic patterns and interrelationships between the data. The researcher was analyzed data from the students' writing test, which measures from the design of analytical scale.

The writer averaged the students' writing score to analyze the quantitative data in one cycle.

Success Indicator

The researcher gave a score to find out that the students wrote descriptive text before they used a flower writing strategy. In the implementation of flower writing strategy in cycle I, some good things were achieved. Then the researcher tried to be more creative in explained writing descriptive text using flower writing strategy.

When implementing the flower writing strategy in II. some improvements have been made to the cycle. Therefore, the researcher and the colleague effectively implement the flower writing strategy to improve the student's ability to write descriptive text. His research question was "can the flower writing strategy improve students' writing ability in the second grade of MTs Pancasila Bengkulu?".

During the implementation of the flower writing strategy in cycle I, the researcher discovered that not all students pay attention to the teachers. During the implementation of the flower writing strategy in cycle II, several improvements were achieved. Also, as a result of the interview, most of the students said that the flower writing strategy helped them to write their descriptive text individually.

The Procedure of the Research

Discussion

The implementation of the flower writing strategy, the complementary actions, successfully met the goal of the actions during two cycles. Burton also stated that the flower writing strategy aims to help students think creatively and help them easily create an idea by making one. This means that flower writing was effective in improving the writing of descriptive text and it makes students easy to develop their idea.

So it indicates that the flower writing strategy can be easily applied to any level, built their creative thinking and helps them to write a paragraph. Say you can use the Flower Writing Strategy, you can think of a few things with the text you used. That said, flower writing can help students develop their ideas, and it is easy to apply at any level, it can be applied in groups and individually, it stimulates their creative thinking and it helps them write a paragraph.

Teaching descriptive text writing using the flower writing strategy could facilitate students' writing, make them more active and motivated in their learning progress.
