The Panel of Examiners who prepared and submitted the thesis entitled “Increasing People's Awareness and Interest in Lombok Island Tourism through a Tourism Travel Kit” by Tio Mahesa Putra Warsono in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the faculty of International Relations, Communications and Law was reviewed and found to have met the requirement for a dissertation fit to be examined. I declare that this thesis project entitled “Increasing people's awareness and interest of Lombok Island tourism through a tourism travel kit” is to the best of my knowledge and belief an original piece of work that has not been submitted either in its in whole or in part to another university to obtain a degree unless the work is cited. Lombok Island has a lot of potential to become one of the biggest tourist destinations, but it is still known. Therefore, the media will be needed to support all the information and guidance to promote Lombok Tourism. By making a tourism travel kit that provides the information, photos of interesting sights, tourism guidance and toiletries needed for a trip to Lombok, it will attract more tourists to visit Lombok Island.
The success of this thesis has required a lot of guidance and assistance from many people and I am extremely fortunate to have had it already with the completion of this thesis. My deep sense of gratitude to my beloved parents, H.Agus Warsono and Hj.Misty Rahayu, my big brother Julian Guntur Zakaria Warsono, my sister Hanik Setiyowati and also my Fritta Esya Putri for the endless support and love they have given me throughout gave my whole life For all the lecturers in President University, thank you for all the lessons given to me since I arrived at this university exactly 5 years ago.
The lessons I have learned in the lectures are not only useful for the purpose of my studies, but I have found them to be useful in my life as well.

The ancient Prambanan and Borobudur temples, Toraja, Yogyakarta, Minangkabau, and of course Bali, with its many Hindu celebrations, are some of the popular destinations for cultural tourism. At the same time, the integration of cultural affairs and tourism under the same ministry shows that cultural tourism is considered an integral part of Indonesia's tourism industry, and conversely, that tourism is used to promote and preserve cultural heritage. Some of the challenges facing Indonesia's tourism industry include the development of infrastructure to support tourism across the vast archipelago, the industry's intrusion into local tradition, and the impact of tourism development on the lives of local people.
According to data from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), tourism contributes 3.1% of GDP in 2013, directly contributing to 3.04 million workers, representing 2.7% of the workforce for the year (WTTC 2014a). The tourism sector of the island of Lombok is quite convincing to be honored as a tourist destination. Located next to the North Java Sea, south of the Indonesian Ocean, west of the Lombok Strait and Mataram Municipality, East Central Lombok and East Lombok, divided into 15 sub-districts, namely: District Bayan, Kayangan, Ganges, Tanjung , Vinder, Gunungsari, Batulayar, Lingsar, Narmada, Labuapi, Kediri, Kuripan, Gerung, Sheet and Central Sekotong.
The facilities and infrastructures that support tourism activities on the island of Lombok are actually sufficient support, although still not as complete as those in Bali. The island of Lombok, which is often called the "Sister of Bali", is one of the tourist destinations that continues to grow rapidly in recent years. Therefore, traveling to the island of Lombok is not far behind the touristic island of Bali.
The place is surrounded by oceans, which makes Lombok a favorite place for tourists who want to enjoy the beauty of the sea. Senggigi is a favorite tourism object in Lombok and is located in the west of Lombok. With the condition of the beach is still beautiful making the Senggigi beach attracts the tourists.
About 80% of the population of this island is Sasak, who speak the Sasak language as their main language in everyday conversation. Do not forget that Lombok also has cultural tourism, which is not less famous than Presean and Gendang belek, which can be encountered when visiting the island of Lombok. Hopefully, with the promotion and improvement of a better government tourism sector, Lombok tourism can continue to develop and transform itself so that tourists continue to know it locally and internationally.

I don't know much information about it (what to do, where to stay, how to get there). A population with a large quantity can be partially sampled by representative samples of the same quality of the population that is representative. A sampling technique is a way to determine the sample size, in terms of the size of the sample that will be used as a source of actual data, taking into account the characteristics and spatial distribution of the population, all with the aim of obtaining a representative sample.
Sugiyon's probability sampling is a sampling technique that gives each member of the population an equal chance of being selected as members of the sample. Sugiyon's non-probability sampling is a technique that does not ensure that every member of the population has an equal chance of being selected into the sample. In this study, the researcher used a part of the non-probability method, which means that the sampling is random.
It is a sampling technique based on chance, which means that anyone the researchers happen to meet can be used as a sample, if appropriate, as a source of data. The researcher limits the research to "Increasing people's awareness and interest in tourism in Lombok Island through tourism travel package". In this research, the researcher focuses on determining the impact of Lombok Island travel promotions, how much knowledge about Lombok Island, and how much interest potential tourists have in visiting Lombok Island using a travel package.
The researcher will compare between the usual information obtained and the presence of a kit that will be made.

In making Lombok tourism travel package, the author used Adobe Illustrator CS6 and Adobe InDesign CS6. The researcher chose simple fonts to support the antiquity, simple, straightforward and designed for Lombok travel set. All photography used in this Lombok tourism and travel kit was taken by the researcher.
