Based on the presurvey conducted at the tenth grade of SMA Negeri 1 Punggur on November 10, 2016, the researcher found some problems such as: (1) The students do not feel confident to explore their idea by speaking English not, (2) The students still have low vocabulary,. 3) The students' score is still low, (4) the students lack motivation to learn English. The researcher wants to know about; whether Mingle game gave the positive influence of the students' speaking performance at the tenth grade of SMA Negeri 1 Punggur. Based on the problem identification above, the researcher narrowed down the problem in the fourth problem that the students have problems in expressing their idea in speaking.
So the researcher used the mixing game for students' speaking performance at the tenth grades of SMA NEGERI 1 PUNGGUR academic year 2016/2017. By using mixed play as the motivation to make the students more motivated and interested in the teaching of speaking process so that their speaking skills will be developed.
THEORETICAL REVIEW
The Definition of speaking Performance
While Harmer says speech usually involves two or more people using language for interaction and transactional purposes. He also adds that the purpose of speaking is to express ideas and opinions, to express a desire to do something to negotiate or solve a particular problem, and to maintain social relations and friendship. According to Brown, speech is a productive skill that can be observed directly and empirically, involving two people engaged in talking to each other.7.
In this case, speaker performance can be directly observed and empirically measured in the speaking process. Speakers deliver their intent in appropriate diction so listeners will understand the meaning.
Types of Spoken Language
This situation involving two people who are talking to each means sharing the understanding with each other. By using language to express meaning, the speakers express their intended meaning to the listeners so that the listeners can make sense of the speakers. The participants have the same knowledge so that the speaker's intended meaning will be delivered easily.
In monologue, when one speaker uses spoken language for any length of time, such as in speeches, lectures, readings, newscasts and the like, the hearer must process long stretches of speech without interruption - the stream of speech will continue whether the hearer understands it or not.8 In dialogue, involve at least two speakers, which promote social relations (interpersonal) or convey proportionally or factually.
Three Major Types of Speaking

Untuk mempermudah, peneliti menggunakan purposive cluster sampling; "Pemilihan pola didasarkan pada tujuan tertentu." Kemampuan siswa bersifat homogen, sehingga penulis menggunakan purposive sampling. Micro Skill of Speaking
The Difficulties of Speaking
These are features of spoken language that can facilitate, and in some cases make oral speech difficult. One of the advantages of spoken language is that the process of thinking while you speak allows you to manifest a certain number of hesitations, pauses, backtracking and corrections. One of your tasks in teaching spoken English is to help students achieve acceptable speed along with other fluency characteristics.
Learning to produce language waves in a vacuum—without an interlocutor—would rob speaking of its richest component: the creativity of conversational negotiation. 11. Based on the above explanation, the researcher concludes that there are many factors that make students feel difficult in teaching speaking such as grouping, redundancy, reduced forms, performance variable, colloquial language, interaction, rhythm, stress, intonation and delivery rate.
Teaching Speaking
Large groups, small groups: make sure they have the opportunity to speak and interact in large or small groups. Compulsory Participation: Allowing students to participate equally in a task without knowing who's turn is first and who's turn is next. Use techniques that cover the spectrum of learning needs, from language-based focus on accuracy to message-based focus on interaction, meaning, and fluency.
Therefore, the researcher concludes that the rule or procedures in teaching speaking are so important. This means that when the teacher uses a good procedure, the students will feel comfortable teaching speaking learning processes and it will be more directed.

The Concept of Mingle Game Strategy
- Definition of Mingle Game Strategy
- The Types of Mingle Game Strategy
- The Procedures of Mingle Game Strategy
- The Advantages and Disadvantages of Mingle Game Strategy
The specialty of the shuffle game is that students stand up and move around simultaneously, in pairs or small groups, and move from one classmate to another while talking, listening, and taking notes. In conclusion, Mingle game strategy is a plan or method for achieving a goal, where students move and talk to each other to get some information. In this case, students have to find the things they have in common with other students with a different short answer each time, one.
Before students get up and start asking questions, they have predicted what will be true, e.g. Any of the variations can be played this way, which is simply giving them an activity where they have to talk to everyone in the class but not let them get up.
Theoretical Framework and Paradigm
- Theoretical Framework
- Paradigm
The researcher assumes that teaching speaking using mixed play makes the students interested and motivated to speak English. Based on the explanation above, the researcher formulates the theoretical framework if mixed play strategy is properly used in the teaching and learning of English so that the student's speaking performance will be good, if mixed play strategy is not properly used in the teaching of speaking and English. that students' speaking performance will be bad. In this research, there are two variables which are mixed play strategy and students' speaking performance.
According to Yates in Samsuli, Mingling Games are an activity where students move and talk to each other to get some necessary information. 23 Mingle, first proposed by Pollard and Hess in 1997, can be transformed into a new model for teaching speaking skills. It used to be an activity or strategy where students get up and go around each other and talk to people, especially at a social event and about different topics.
The unique thing about mixed games is that the students get up and circulate at the same time. Based on the chart above, the researcher concludes that there is an influence on the students' speaking performance by using the mingling game strategy.
