LEARN ENGLISH AT THE FIFTH CLASS OF MI MA'ARIF DAARUL RAHMAN MELARIS EAST LAMPUNG. THE INFLUENCE OF USING TOTAL PHYSICAL RESPONSE METHOD ON STUDENTS' MOTIVATION TO LEARN ENGLISH AT At MI Ma'arif Daarul Rahman Melaris, especially among the fifth graders, many students have low motivation to learn English.

It means that there is a positive and significant impact of using the TPR method on students' motivation in learning English. This research proposal is presented as a partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of SarjanaPendidikan(S.Pd) in the English Education Study Program, entitled: "The Impact of Using the Total Physical Response Method on Students' Motivation in Language Learning English in the fifth Students of MI Ma'arif Daarul Rahman Melaris East Lampung”.

So in this research, the researcher wants to see the influence of using total physical response method to students' motivation to learn English. Is there any positive and significant influence of using total physical response method against students' motivation to learn English among the fifth graders at MI Ma'arif Daarul Rahman Melaris East Lampung?. To know the level of students' motivation in learning English of the fifth graders of MI Ma'arif Daarul Rahman Melaris.

To know how far the total physical response method can increase the students' motivation to learn English from the fifth graders of MI Ma'arif Daarul Rahman Melaris. By using total physical response as a method, it is hoped that the students will be more interested and motivated to learn English.

This means that the students' motivation is very important in second language learning, because with motivation the students can succeed in any task and they will be active in learning English. Based on the quotes above, it can be concluded that motivation is very necessary to learn English, motivation is the power that gives them the desire to the students, so that they are aware that learning English is their responsibility. From the definition above, we can get the conclusion that the function of learning motivation is a motor or motivator for the students so that they can increase their performance more and more, so that the target can be achieved.

These are possible ways to give motivation to the students' motivation, including intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. The competition can be used as a tool of motivation to support the learning of the students. The competition, such as individual competition or group competition, can increase the study of the students.

Etymologically, the word "total" in Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary can be defined as follows: 1). being the amount or added together after all or everyone has been counted or added together, 2) the amount you get when you add multiple numbers or amounts together; the final number of people or things when they are all counted.19. Based on the three definitions above, we can conclude that total physical response is an activity where the teacher gives the instruction to the students and the students then act or react and are connected to a person's body rather than their mind. In Encyclopedia of Wikipedia "total physical response (TPR) is a method of assisting in second language learning, the method is based on the assumption that in learning a second or additional language".22 It means that at the total physical response method some emphasis interaction between the teacher and the students in the learning process, so that the students as active learners can develop their performance.

As the researcher says, the students collectively follow the researcher's lead and turn to face their chairs. Then the researcher repeatedly gives another command until the researcher feels that the volunteers and the other students understand the commands.

In addition, total physical response method to enjoy the students when learning English, so make the students feel fun when learning in class. If the total physical response method has a good influence on learning English naturally, the students' motivation will be higher. However, if the total physical response method does not have a good influence on learning English, the students' motivation will be low.

Furthermore, the author tries to know the influence of the use of total physical response method on the students' motivation to learn English. Paragdim is the simple scheme, but contains with the element of the research that from the research indication and the connection points out each other.

The population of this research is the fifth grade students of MI Ma'arif Daarul Rahman Melaris in the academic year 2012-2013, which consists of one class. According to Edi Kusnadi, the dependent variable is a research variable to measure the effect or influence of another variable.46 The dependent variable of this research is student motivation in the fifth graders of MI Ma'arif Daarul Rahman Melaris. In order to investigate whether there is any influence of the total physical response method on the motivation of students in the fifth graders of MI Ma'arif Daarul Rahman Melaris in the academic year 2012/2013, the author analyzes the data using Product Moment.

Preparation of a table to prove whether there is a positive and significant influence of using the total physical response method on students' motivation in learning English in the fifth graders of MI Maarif Daarul Rahman Melaris East Lampung. There is a positive and significant influence of using the total physical response method on students' motivation in learning English in the fifth graders of MI Maarif Daarul Rahman Melaris East Lampung. This means that there is a positive influence of using the total physical response method on students' motivation in learning English in the fifth graders of MI Maarif Daarul Rahman Melaris East Lampung.

There is a positive and significant impact of using the total physical response method on students in learning English in the fifth graders of MI Ma'arif Daarul Rahman Melaris East Lampung. This means that there is a positive and significant influence of using the total physical response method on students' motivation in learning English in the fifth graders of MI Ma’arif Daarul Rahman Melaris East Lampung. Thus, it has been shown that the use of TPR method can affect students' motivation in learning English than other method, especially for fifth grade students of MI Maarif Daarul Rahman Melaris.

In conclusion, there is a positive and significant influence of the use of the TPR method on students' motivation to learn English after treatments. Thus, there is influence of the use of the total physical response method on the motivation of the students to teach English to the fifth graders of MI Maarif Daarul Rahman Melaris East lampung. In conclusion, there is some positive influence of using the total physical response method on the motivation of the students to teach English to the fifth graders of MI Maarif Daarul Rahman Melaris East lampung.

Condition of MI Ma'arif Daarul Rahman Melaris East Lampung official teachers and employers. The purpose of administering the questionnaire is to measure students' motivation to learn English before the treatment. Source: MI Ma'arif Daarul Rahman fifth grade students' questionnaire-test results.

After knowing the result of the questioner before using TPR method or student motivation, the students got poor score and then teacher gave treatment by using TPR method. By using the TPR method, the students learn English in an easier way because the students who use their body when learning so that the students can understand the English material easily. The research was conducted at MI Ma'arif Daarul Rahman Melaris East Lampung the subject of the research was the fifth class in academic 2012/2013 the result of this research did not discuss all the problems that the students faced.

The first students were different, some students understood the teacher's explanation and others not yet. Based on the collection and analysis of data, the research concludes that the TPR method as an alternative method can influence students' motivation to learn English in fifth graders and increase students' motivation to learn English. Using the full physical response method makes it easier for students to learn English.

After the researcher conducted the research at the fifth class of MI Maarif daarul Rahman Melaris Oos lampung. It is recommended for the principal to persuade the teacher to use this method because it is easy to be understood by the students and effective in teaching the material for the teacher, especially to learn English. To be more active in learning English by using the method of total physical response, because the total physical response helps the students to enjoy in the next material given by the teacher.

Hypothesis Testing

Interpretation

During the research, the author noticed that the children were interested in learning English material through total physical response method. They were also active in class during the presentation of the material using the total physical response method. The author assumed that teaching and learning using the TPR method can influence students' motivation to learn English.

Limitation

It is suggested to support the English learning process by fully preparing the facility and the instrument. It is better for the teacher to use the total physical response method in teaching English because it can improve students' motivation in English learning.

CONCLUSION

Conclusion

Generally they like English subject, have good interest to study English more deeply.
