SPEA Good Standing requires: previous semester 2.0 GPA, cumulative 2.0 GPA, as well as 2.3 GPA in SPEA majors (listed in requirement section #5 + SPEA J275).

SPEA Honors Program
Any student who fails to maintain the GPA requirements will be placed on probationary status for one semester, will be required to meet with the SPEA Honors Advisor to discuss his or her standing in the program, and must complete an Honors Examination Contract. A student must meet with the SPEA Honors Advisor each term to complete the contract required to enroll in an honors course.
Off Campus Study
If the student cannot meet the GPA requirements in a subsequent term, he or she may be excluded from the SPEA Honors Program Honors Courses. For Honors Credit SPEA courses, taking courses taught by full-time SPEA faculty is preferred. SPEA classes taken for Honors credit will have additional requirements beyond those in the regular course offerings.

Upon certification that the student has been awarded a baccalaureate degree and the completion of all certificate requirements, the student will be awarded the certificate. A maximum of six (6) hours of appropriate credit from another institution may be applied towards this Certificate.

Master of Library Science - Public Management
The second degree or certificate awarded with the MLS is subject to the individual unit requirements and specific electives as approved by that unit. An online application and information can be obtained from the website; materials are also available from the Graduate Program Office. Social Entrepreneurship
Internships for the Social Entrepreneurship Certificate must meet certain criteria to qualify and must be approved by the Director of the Social Entrepreneurship program. All internships must receive prior approval, unless it can be shown that a student has had prior experience in social entrepreneurship and the student is applying for credit for experience in lieu of an internship. STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE V559 BEFORE QUALIFYING FOR A SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP INTERNSHIP.
Certificate Programs
In addition, a social entrepreneurship internship project must have social goals as well as quantifiable financial goals – and both of these goals must increase the overall organization's financial profitability while improving its social mission and results. These objectives must be identified before the internship and used to evaluate the effectiveness at the end of the internship project. The internship can be fulfilled by an Internship through V585 Practice in Public Affairs (3 - 6 points), X523 and X524 Enterprise Experience I and II (1.5 points each), or approved experience points.

Credit granted to students who transfer and those who exercise the mid-career option will not reduce the number of courses taken in SPEA below this minimum of 24 credits. Complete details can be found in the Indiana University Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct at http://life.iupui.edu/help/. The appeal must be submitted before the last day of classes of the semester following the time at which the event in question occurred.
Undergraduate Policies
Upon approval, the student must complete a minimum of 32 credit hours on the IUPUI campus to meet the graduation residency requirement. Students may not transfer more than 90 credit hours (60 credits from a junior college) toward a Bachelor of Science degree or 30 credit hours toward an Associate of Science degree. Services
