The primary purpose of this research is to find out that jumbled summarization technique can improve students' reading ability in the tenth grade of MA Ma‟Arif NU 5 Sekampung the Academic Year of 2019/2020. In this research, the researcher implemented classroom action research (KAR) to improve students' reading ability by using jumbled summarization technique. The research is done in collaboration with an English teacher from MA Ma‟Arif NU 5 Sekampung.
Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan teknik ringkasan campuran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa kelas 10 MA Ma'Arif NU 5 Sekampung. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bahwa teknik ringkasan campuran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman pada siswa kelas X (sepuluh) IIS2 MA Ma'Arif NU 5 Sekampung tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik rangkuman teracak dapat digunakan sebagai teknik pengajaran membaca.
Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan teknik jumbled summary dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa khususnya di kelas X IIS2 MA Ma'Arif NU 5 Sekampung Lampung Timur. The students understand the text, but they must transfer the text's information and meaning as new knowledge. Based on the preliminary study conducted by the researcher in MA Ma'Arif Nu 5 Sekampung on 23 January 2019, the result of students' reading ability in tenth grade was not satisfactory. The data of students reading ability before examination result test of tenth grade of MA Ma'Arif NU 5 Sekampung.
The above test result explains that most students' performance in reading skills is still far from the norm of criteria. The problems are: first, the students are bored reading the text because it is not interesting. From the problem identified above, the researcher limits the problem to the students' ability to write narrative text.

Even though the researcher had explained the narrative text, the students were still confused and found it difficult to find the text information. The researcher and the collaborator rearranged some plans for the action based on the problems the students faced. Then, before the time is up, the researcher provides feedback to reinforce the students' understanding.

Based on the result of this study, it was known that more than 70% of the students achieved a minimum score of 70.
