The use of brainstorming strategy to improve students' speaking ability in grade 11 students of SMAN 1 Bengkulu Tengah in the academic year English Classroom action Research). The Subject of this Research

Based on the table above, the students' speaking skills are still poor. Based on the pre-assessment this was: 0 students included. Based on the percentage in the pre-assessment, the researcher concluded that some factors ensure that the students are still classified as poor. Therefore, the researcher applied a brainstorming strategy to help the students improve the students' speaking skills with the teacher as a collaborator.

In the first cycle, the researcher provided a story question about "Hopes and Dreams" as the material for the students to learn. The researcher and the teacher observed the students' activity in the classroom, especially their speaking ability in front of the class. Based on the above table, students' speaking ability is still poor, based on cycle I was: 1 students include "good".

This should be done to manage the teaching process, the researcher used the lesson plan as a guide. the researcher's activities in the classroom. Data is obtained from qualitative data. According to Miles and Huberman, the analysis process occurs in three phases: consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. Reducing data means summarizing, choosing the main points, focusing on the things that are important, looking for themes and patterns. It is the process of sorting, focusing, simplifying, abstracting and transforming the raw data. In this step the data is reduced which means it becomes too easy to analyze the data and move on to the next steps.

It was "an attempt to check as much as possible the veracity of the data or information obtained by the researcher from different perspectives while reducing the biases that occur during data collection and analysis."

Based on the above data, it is important that the researcher administered the treatments in cycle 1 and subsequent cycles. Thus, the researcher concluded that the next cycle since the result of the speaking test in cycle 1 was not satisfied. In this cycle, the researcher's focus was on the substantive treatment (development of topic details). In the first cycle, the researcher asked a story question about 'Bullying'. as the material that the students are required to learn based on the curriculum.

During the observation in this cycle II, The researcher found that all the students tried to show their best ability in their speaking ability. In addition, the researcher also motivated the students to speak as well as students could in class with their group. In this cycle the researcher found the improvement between Pre-Cycle, Cycle I and Cycle II.

In summary, the researcher concluded that the research should be completed in cycle 2 as the result of the students' speaking ability was satisfied and could reach the indicator of success.

Discussions

In the process of teaching and learning activities, students are always expected to be enthusiastic and not quickly guided by new strategies or new methods that can be used in teaching and learning activities. Suggestion

Analisis fungsi sosial, struktur teks dan unsur wacana dalam ungkapan cadangan dan tawaran, serta respons.
