TITLE: An analysis of the students' perception of the English course against the students' speaking ability at the Buckingham English course Makassar Skripsi yang saya ajukan di depan tim penguji adalah hasil karya saya sendiri bukan hasil ciplakan and tidak silakan oleh siapaman. An analysis of students' perception of English course against students' speaking ability at Buckingham English Course Makassar. The purpose of this research was to know students' perception of English course in relation to students' speaking ability, especially on students' speaking fluency (confidence) at Buckingham English Course Makassar.

Berdasarkan temuan, ditemukan bahwa siswa memberikan persepsi positif terhadap kursus bahasa Inggris terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa. Analisis Persepsi Siswa terhadap Kursus Bahasa Inggris terhadap Kemampuan Berbicara Siswa di Kursus Bahasa Inggris Buckingham Makassar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa English Course terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa, khususnya kepercayaan diri mereka di Buckingham Makassar English Course.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa seluruh siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap keterampilan berbicara mereka dalam kursus bahasa Inggris. Dan dari hasil tersebut, kita dapat menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat dampak kursus bahasa Inggris terhadap keterampilan berbicara mereka, terutama pada kefasihan berbicara (kepercayaan diri) siswa setelah menyelesaikan kursus bahasa Inggris. Ucapan terima kasih yang sebesar-besarnya kami sampaikan kepada Ismail, S.P.D., selaku direktur dan tutor Buckingham English Course Makassar serta kepada seluruh siswa yang menjadi responden penelitian saya.

So in this why the researcher chooses the influence of English course on the students' speaking ability. Because the researcher believes that an English course can support the students' speaking ability, especially the students. Because when the students attend an English course, the students will be trained directly and daily by the tutor when the students or participants are present at that place.

So that students can master English in speaking due to attending the English course. It is precisely in this last function that the researcher made the most of the English course. Based on the above background, the researcher interested in conducting a research entitled "An Analysis the Students' Perception of the Influence of English Toward the Students' Speaking Ability at Buckingham English Course Makassar".

Based on the foregoing background, the research question of the researcher is: “What is the perception of the students of the influence of the English course on the students”. Based on the research question, the aim of this research is to know the students' perception of the influence of the English course on the students' speaking skills at Buckingham English Course at Buckingham English Course Makassar. The aim of this research is to investigate students' perceptions of the influence of the English course on students' speaking skills.

In this case, the researcher will analyze the students' perception of the impact of the English club, especially the students' fluency (self-confidence) after joining the English course at Buckingham English Course Makassar. A few researchers have conducted a survey in connection with the English course program on the students' speaking ability. Based on the above findings of the previous research, the researcher can conclude that the English course brings many benefits to the students or participants.

Because once again in English courses, tutors always train students' skills and always encourage students to be more enthusiastic in the learning process. Of all the skills taught in the Buckingham English Course, the student will focus on speaking skills. An English course can be a chance to meet new people and make new friends (both for moderators and participants).

Based on their answers, the researcher analyzed the students' perception of the English course in relation to their fluency and fluency (self-confidence).

The chapter was divided into two main sections; they are research findings and research discussion. The findings presented the result of the analysis of the data collected through the questionnaire about the students' perception of the English course to the speaking ability of the students at Buckingham English Course Makassar.

  • The Students’ Perception of the Influence of English Course

The first observation on Saturday, October 2, 2019, the researcher gave the campus letter to the director of Buckingham English Course, and then the researcher observed all the students in there and the condition of the place. Then the researcher follows the director to observe the class and then the researcher selects someone from the class to be the subject of the research. At that place, the researcher observed the students' ability to speak up before the researcher took some students as respondents to answer the questionnaire.

The researcher chose the topic according to some research criteria in order to make it easier for the students to answer the questions. The teacher started the lesson by reviewing the previous material in the class meeting before, the teacher reviewed by asking each student a few questions. Then the teacher writes down some words and then the teacher asks 1 student from each group to come to the front of the class and then the teacher asks the students to split the word into more words and the other partner helps their partner answer the questions. .

The purpose of this game is to train their vocabulary and that game will continue until every student is present in front of the class. Because in the day the subject is on the floor so the teacher gives material about conversation. Then the teacher writes down an example of conversation that each student has to memorize the conversation and present the conversation in front of the class.

The students spoke naturally, they could explore themselves in the groups and they enjoyed and funny with the group discussion, sometimes they laughed together and so thankful that they found the funny teacher, the teacher often gave them jokes. Based on the open-ended questionnaire conducted by researcher, the students stated positive perception of English course through 10 questions. Then, from the result of students' answers, the researcher comes to the conclusion that there is some classification of the basic of each questions.

The result of the students' perception through their answers that the learning process during the English course makes them more fluent in speaking because the teacher often asks them to speak and always uses English in the learning process. So the teacher creates the full English in the classroom and outside the classroom at Buckingham English course Makassar.

Because of this, students do not feel shy in class and students feel more freedom. The result of students' perception from their answers that the learning process in the English subject were more active in the learning process.

Based on the result of students' perception that English club can improve their speaking ability.

First, the researcher will explain the impact of the English course on students' speaking ability, especially on students' speaking fluency. Based on the analysis of the results in the study findings of the students' perceptions of Buckingham English Course Makassar, the researcher found that there is an impact of the students' speaking ability, especially the students' speaking fluency (confidence) after entering the English course. In addition to students' speaking fluency on the impact of students on the English course, the researcher also finds that there are 4 categories; students to be happy and funny in the learning process, to be more active in the learning process, improving their speaking skills and having additional knowledge and new experiences in learning English.

Because their teacher/mentor gave some jokes and games in every learning process in every meeting, the teacher gave funny punishment if the students made a mistake. Not only that, the students' happiness also came from the fact that they enjoyed themselves and felt free, because there are no special rules in the lessons. Based on the results of the observation and the analysis of the perception of the students according to their answers, the researcher concluded that joining the English club could make the students more active in the learning process.

Based on the results of the students' response, the researcher concluded that any improvement in their speaking ability, especially fluency (confidence) after being included in the English course. Based on the findings of Karmilanda's research (2012), she found that the speech club improves students' speaking skills, as it encourages and motivates them to practice speaking. Because of this, the English course could give students additional knowledge and experience, because after being included in the English course, students.

So, automatically the students felt that using English or practicing English as their habit in their daily activities. Based on the research findings and the discussion, the researcher concludes that all the students had a positive response and that English course also affected the students' speaking ability, English course can support the students' speaking ability. Based on the research questions, the researcher concludes that all the students had a positive reaction to the implementation of English course in learning to speak.

Students' greater confidence in speaking up in front of the class, students' greater confidence in speaking together using English, and students are also more active in the learning process. In addition to students' speech fluency, the researcher also finds that enrolling in an English course also makes students happy and fun in the learning process, become more active in the learning process, improve speaking skills and have an addition of knowledge and new experiences in learning English. Students' motivation and their activity in learning English in the second grade of Smpn 3 Palangga.

The teacher asks the students to divide the students into small groups to discuss questions or do certain activities.
