Each state was sent a copy of the constitution and an invitation to the first national convention of the Future Farmers of America. Their pictures in the chapter meeting rooms are constant reminders of the ideals that made Future Farmers. The instructor has the undivided attention of the class as he demonstrates the welding machines in the workshop. Delphi Chapter is located in central Indiana in one of the nation's most prosperous agricultural counties. For the Coniniunity Chapter, he is currently conducting one of the most important co-operative activities he has ever attempted.
The plan calls for the creation of windbreaks; the improvement of lawns; and the addition of shade, fruit and nut trees, small fruits and new flower varieties on member farms. Each member meets with a landscape specialist from Purdue University to identify changes and/or additions to their plan. This past year the Chapter was owned by the Plant-of-the-Month Club, and new plants are multiplied individually for distribution to other members next year.

The Delphi Future Farmers hope that some of the activities described above will provide ideas for other chaps. The Chapter's goal is to continue to provide its members with many varied learning activities in an effort to provide future citizens with skilled rural leadership.
