Each state was sent a copy of the constitution and an invitation to the first national convention of the Future Farmers of America. Their pictures in the chapter meeting rooms are constant reminders of the ideals that made Future Farmers. For the Coniniunity Chapter, he is currently conducting one of the most important co-operative activities he has ever attempted.

The plan calls for the creation of windbreaks; the improvement of lawns; and the addition of shade, fruit and nut trees, small fruits and new flower varieties on member farms. Each member meets with a landscape specialist from Purdue University to identify changes and/or additions to their plan. This past year the Chapter was owned by the Plant-of-the-Month Club, and new plants are multiplied individually for distribution to other members next year.
