TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Quality is the overall characteristics of the product that demonstrate its ability to meet the demands or requirements set by the customer (stakeholders), either explicitly (stated in the contract), or implied. Supporting institutions within the Department of Agricultural Engineering are institutions other than universities and faculties that support the implementation of educational or training services, including laboratories, Quality Assurance Units (QAU), Agricultural Engineering Student Association (HIMATETA), and Alumni Association of the Department of Agricultural Engineering.

Main Process of Quality Management System in Department of Agriculture Engineering 16
The main process of BAE department as human resource training services in agricultural engineering includes new students, government, society and graduates as inputs. The research business process is carried out in the form of the preparation of the research roadmap and the integration of the completion of the final task into the major research roadmap (Figure 5). The business process of community service is carried out in the form of cooperation with agencies whose arrangements are carried out at the faculty level (Figure 6).
While managing services in the form of laboratory services in the Department of Agricultural Engineering. Staff development carried out in the Department of Agricultural Engineering includes the mapping of the competence of lecturers and employees, analysis of needs and quality improvement through work programs created annually. Based on these four things, a PDCA cycle is carried out through the planning outlined in the Budget Business Plan (BBA) presented to the faculty.

The institute's quality standards are prepared based on the standards of the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN_PT), with the aim of facilitating the implementation of majors or study programs in connection with accreditation. Guarantees that 90% of the main customers (students) are satisfied with the educational services provided. Recognition of the quality of the thesis by the authorities related to the topic of the thesis.
According to the organizational structure, the duties and functions of the Department of Agricultural Engineering (see sub-chapter 4.2), then the responsibilities and powers of each person are established in detail and clearly. In addition, in the implementation of the quality assurance system at the department level, the secretary of the Department has been appointed as a Representative Management (MR) who has the responsibility and authority to represent the Head of Department in the execution of daily quality assurance activities assisted by the Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) . The results of the management review will be presented to all lecturers and academic support staff during regular meetings of the department.
The output of the QMS review must be recorded and communicated to all lecturers and employees in the Department of Agricultural Engineering.

As a result of the review of the quality management system, the head of department must follow up to improve the performance of the QMS and its process. Equipment must be regularly maintained so that it is always ready when needed.
Measuring equipment must be calibrated regularly so that the accuracy and validity of measurement results are guaranteed. Facilities, infrastructure and government property that are damaged and cannot be used must be managed in accordance with applicable rules. Department of Agricultural Engineering guarantees the implementation of academic freedom, academic pulpit and scientific autonomy.
The Department of Agricultural Engineering must document that the working environment and the atmosphere on campus are evaluated at regular intervals, as well as documentation for measures in relation to this matter.

Realization of research and community service must increase the competence of the academic community and produce outputs in the form of scientific publications, textbooks, intellectual property rights, technology packages or science and technology innovations used by the community. The Head of Department must consider curriculum design and development for the benefit of students. Design control activities must be compatible with the purpose and duration of the educational service.
Procedures should ensure that the instructional material complies with the requirements of the instructions. The review of each subject should include an effective assessment of the entire curriculum and notes should be taken. Determining the competence of graduates (service clients) is determined by the University, the Department and the community as stakeholders.

The Department of Agricultural Engineering analyzes the collected data and information, using available analytical methods (eg SWOT) and at the same time provides accepted problem solving. Statistical analysis for various metrics such as performance indicators, dropout numbers, achievement data, customer satisfaction and trend analysis can help ensure the effectiveness of the process control that is part of the quality management system. Data analysis is performed from different sources to compare the performance of quality management systems and educational processes to identify areas of improvement.
Department of Agricultural Engineering improves the effectiveness of quality management system and education process on an ongoing basis by encouraging staff to identify and implement service improvement efforts in accordance with their scope. The Department of Agricultural Engineering sets out manual procedures (documented procedures) to carry out corrective actions identified from the analysis of the causes of incompatibility and increased opportunities. Corrective steps are taken to eliminate discrepancies that occur during the implementation of the quality management system and the process of providing customer service.
