IMPROVING WRITING SKILLS USING LANGUAGE FEATURES IN ELEVENTH GRADE MICROSOFT WORD. The research aims to know that using the language feature in Microsoft Word media can improve students' skills in writing descriptive text in the teaching process. The findings of this research show that there is improvement in writing ability using the language feature in Microsoft word media.

Hal ini terlihat dari perkembangan nilai rata-rata pada pretest, posttest I dan posttest II. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan fitur linguistik pada Microsoft word sebagai media khususnya pada mata pelajaran bahasa Inggris sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menggunakan fungsi bahasa Microsoft Word dalam menulis teks deskripsi mengalami peningkatan.

It is important to see if there is a difference between pre-test, post-test I and post-test II. At last, the researcher can accomplish this undergraduate thesis titled “IMPROVING THE WRITING SKILLS BY USING THE LANGUAGE FUNCTION IN MICROSOFT WORD OF THE Eleventh GRADERS OF MA DARUL A’MAL METRO IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2020/2021”.

It is an important matter for the students to make something that students want to write. Then most of the students also have problems expressing ideas in writing because the students lack vocabulary. Then most of the students also have problems to express the idea in writing skill because the students lack vocabulary.

Based on this problem, the researcher is interested in conducting research on improving students' descriptive writing skills using the language function in Microsoft Word. The researcher chose this medium because he assumes that this language is an effective medium for students so that students can improve their writing skill. By correcting the language function in Microsoft Word, students are expected to understand the desired information.

According to the identification of the problem, the students had problems in writing, so the researcher used the language function in Microsoft Word in teaching descriptive writing skill to improve the writing skill of the eleventh graders of Darul A‟mal Metro in the academic year 2018. Based on the background of the study and the above problem identification the researcher formulates the problem in this research "Can language feature in Microsoft Word improve students' writing skill and their learning activities of MA Darul A‟mal eleventh graders?".

The subject of this study is the eleventh grade students of MA Darul A‟mal Metro. The table above showed that the students' scores on post-test II were diverse. The researcher chose a language feature in Microsoft Word Media to improve the students' ability to write descriptive text.

During the research, the researcher observed that the students were enthusiastic for attention from teacher explanation in learning process. The researcher assumes that teaching writing using language feature in Microsoft word Media can improve students to write descriptively. Moreover, the students' average score in cycle II was higher than cycle I. the following was the table of illustration score in cycle I and cycle II. Based on the graph above, it can be concluded that Language Feature in Microsoft Word media can improve the students' skill in writing descriptive text.

It is supported by improving the student's score from pre-test to post-test I and from post-test I to post-test II. 3. The result of the learning activities of students in cycle I and cycle II. Outcome of student learning activity in cycle I and cycle II . a) The students pay attention to the explanation of the teacher.

The purpose of the study in this study includes two variables, they are independent variables and dependent variables.

Research Location

The researcher will ask the teacher as a collaborator in this study to function as a controller in the learning process. Therefore, the researcher will find it easy to recognize the development of students in the learning process of teaching.

After students completed the treatment in cycle 1, they received a post-test. In addition, the study will compare the pre-test and post-test scores to know the students' post-test achievement. Based on the above result, the researcher stated that the learning process in II. the cycle was successful because the students' activity reached a percentage of >75%.

In this phase, the researcher presented the pre-test to measure the student's proficiency before applying the treatment. The result of the pre-test showed that most students had difficulty taking the test. Based on the result of the pre-test, post-test I and post-test II, it was known that there was a positive significant improvement in the student's score.

The students' attention to the teacher's explanation improved from the first meeting to the next. Then, based on the explanation of cycle I and cycle II, it can be concluded that the use of language features in Microsoft Word media improves the student's skill in writing descriptive text.

Conclusion

Language feature in Microsoft Word can be used as an effective media in the learning process of writing. Language feature in Microsoft word media makes students understand a paragraph easily in descriptive writing skills. While Language Feature in Microsoft Word can also develop the descriptive writing skill score.

This can be seen in the progress from pretest to cycle I and cycle II.

Dengan bimbingan dan arahan guru, siswa mempertanyakan antara lain perbedaan teks bahasa Inggris yang berbeda, perbedaan teks. Siswa membaca teks deskriptif yang disediakan oleh guru kemudian siswa meringkas teks deskriptif tersebut dengan menggunakan bahasa (kata-kata) siswa itu sendiri.

Siswa menyampaikan informasi tentang fungsi sosial, struktur, dan unsur kebahasaan yang mereka temukan setelah membaca teks deskriptif, kemudian siswa menulis teks deskriptif berdasarkan topik yang diberikan guru, secara tertulis dan dengan bahasa mereka sendiri. Siswa dan guru menyelesaikan hasil belajar terkait dengan apa yang mereka pelajari di sesi ini. Siswa diberi tugas untuk menjawab pertanyaan yang berkaitan dengan materi yang diberikan yaitu dengan teks deskriptif.
