Based on the above table, it is known that the percentage of eleventh grade students in MA Wali Songo whose writing ability reaches the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) is 13%. Based on the above explanation, the writer thought to improve the writing ability of eleventh grade students in MA Wali Songo by implementing Magnet Summary Strategy.

In this research, the author conducted action research in the classroom of eleventh graders from MA Wali Songo. During the conduct of the research, the author collaborated with the real English teacher from MA Wali Songo as an observer and collaborator. In the second phase, the writer collaborates to carry out the action arranged in the planning phase.
The writer begins the learning process by identifying the text the teacher wants the students to read as they complete this exercise, then identify a key word from the passage that directly relates to the concept being discussed. The writer explains that this keyword is like a magnet in that it attracts information that is relevant to the topic. In addition, the writer also collects the data from the post-test and the result of the student's activity.
In the fourth stage, the writer tries to see something and think of what the writer has done. In the first stage, when the writer finds the problem in the first cycle, the writer has fixed the problem in the next cycle. Furthermore, the writer also collects the data of the post-test and the result of the student's activity.
Data Collecting Technique
In the fourth stage, the writer discusses and analyzes the data collected from all the activities from the acting stage to the observation stage to find out whether the implementation of Magnet Summary Strategy was successful or not in the second cycle and also compare the student's improvement from cycle one to cycle to find out the student's performance. If there is a good improvement based on the success criteria previously determined, the writer has not continued the action in the next cycle. On the other hand, the researcher uses the final score of the students' writing as pre-test and post-test to get the quantitative data.
The pre-test of this research was in the form of an essay test that requires students to write a report text composition in English. The post-test of this research was in the form of an essay test asking students to write a report text composition in English. In this research, the writer observed the learning process of the eleventh grade students of MA Wali Songo in their classroom.
In this case, the writer needs documents to get complete data about the history of the establishment of MA Wali Songo, the organizational structure of MA Wali Songo, the names of the teachers in each subject, the data about the outline of the school building in to know the location of each classroom, office, library, canteen, mosque, laboratory, parking lot and yard. Field note is the observation instrument used in CAR to provide a record of what is happening during an observation that includes descriptions of places, people, objects, acts, activities, events, goals, times and feelings.35 In this research, the writer used field notes to record student activity during the learning process. In this research, the writer Wal conducted the field note to obtain complete data from the eleventh grade students of MA Wali Songo regarding the students' activities, events in each learning step, learning goals, tendency time and feelings of students in the learning process.

The researcher also planned to give evaluation to measure the students' mastery on the given material. The result of the students' test in post-test 1 was better than test in pre-test before. The comparison of percentage of the students' completeness grade on pre-test and post-test I.

In this research, in order to know the students who wrote essay after the implementation of the treatment, the researcher conducted posttest I. In this phase, the researcher continued to cycle II, because the grade of posttest I in cycle I did not yet meet the MMC was only 73% passed MMC. It was higher than after test 1 in cycle I. It means that the indicator of success of this research was achieved which was >75%. students got a grade of 70.
