Comparisons of women according to pregnant BP status and present BP
Women with previous PE and still hypertensive (group 1), were slightly older than women with previous PIH (groups 3 and 4) (p = 0,049). Age did not significantly differ between any other groups. Although not
statistically significant, women with a current diagnosis of HT (groups 1, 3 and 5) had the highest mean values of BMI and WC. No significant differences were found in any BP levels between any groups whether examined with office, ambulatory readings or central measurements (table 1). Laboratory measures for the metabolic parameters P-glucose, P-HbA1c and S-leptin levels were highest in group 1. S-ApoB/ApoA1 did not differ (table 2). Neither neurohumoral parameters nor structural variables (RWT, LVH and IMT) differed between groups 1 - 6 (data not shown).
