Alhamdulillahirabbilalamin. First, the writer would like to express her grateful to the lord Allah SWT. The highest and the master of the universe while the creator of the everything in the world who still lend the writer good health, blessing, mercy so she can finish this research. Salam and salawat always be sent to the prophet Muhammad saw. Peace be upon him. Who has guided us from uneducated person to be educated person.
This wonderful time, the writer wants to thank a lot to all people who have supported and helped her in finishing her research as effective as she can. She realizes that without their support and help, she could not be able to finish her research. This opportunity, the writer would like to express very especial thanks to her beloved parents and family who have given an endless love, advice, support and praying to be success students ever.

ABSTRACT
ELVIANI Teachers’ difficulties in teaching English during Covid-19 at SMAN 6 Pinrang, (Supervised by Ismail Latief and Hj Nanning)
The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia had a huge impact on the world of education, so the government has made a policy to replace teaching and learning activities that were initially carried out in schools, with online-based learning that is carried out in their respective homes. This new system caused a lot of difficulties.
Teaching Difficulties is a condition where a teacher cannot teach normally due to threats.
Obstacles or disturbances during the teaching and learning Process.
The method that researcher used in this research is Qualitative with descriptive approach, The aim of this study to examine the teachers’ difficulties in teaching English at the second grade of SMAN 2 Parepare. The respondents of the study were two English teachers’ and head master. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation.Data analysis techniques used with collection data, reduction data, displaying data, conclusion, and verification.
After doing research and based on the result of research that have been carried out by researchers regarding the teachers’ difficulties in teaching English at SMAN 6 Pinrang the researcher found out there are 8 difficulties by English teachers at SMAN 6 Pinrang.
They are namely, 1.) Difficult to apply online learning, 2.) Difficult to control students through online, 3.) Its difficult to be interactive in learning process,4.) Difficult to give an assessment,5.) Limited Facilities and infrastructure, 6.) Network problem,7.) Difficult in using digital media technology,8.) Unlimited working hours and spending more money.
