Excused Time for Support Staff Employees
Support Staff employees who were not able to leave at their regular time due to the emergency situation on campus Tuesday afternoon, April 8, 2008, may request of their supervisor an equivalent amount of excused time to be used prior to May 31, 2008.
Support staff employees should record the time as "excused" and note that it was due to the April 8 emergency.
Employees were released at different times, so the excused time should reflect only the amount of time in excess of the employee's regular shift. Supervisors will be responsible for approving the use of the excused time, and for verifying the amount of time taken as "excused" on each hourly employees' timesheet.
If anyone has not already handed in their timesheet for the April 6-19 pay period, please do not record additional time worked due to this emergency situation.
Any questions should be directed to Human Resources or Payroll.

Arts for Peace: Breaking Women's Silence Women of Influence speaker; Dr. Mallika Sarabhai.
Monday, April 28, 5 p.m. at the Women's Leadership Center.
Dr. Mallika Sarabhai is one of the most well-known and well-regarded classical Indian dancers in the world. She is also a passionate advocate for social justice issues, including the ongoing problem of violence against women.
Using stage performance and television to educate and communicate, Sarabhai melds her activism and art in inspiring ways. Sarabhai's work is based in the Indian state of Gujarat, a site of ongoing religious and political conflict. Her work is therefore both ground-breaking and courageous.
Sponsored by NEH, the Marlin and Ginger Miller Dance Residency Program, the WLC, and the Division of Performing Arts.
