According to the method and type of research that the researcher has undertaken, namely descriptive qualitative research, the research conducted has attempted to be descriptive. There are two English teachers in SMP Darul Lughah Wal Karomah and class VII students in SMP Darul Lughah Wal Karomah there are two classes namely VII A and VII B consisting of 40 students for each class. In this research, the researcher determined that the subject of the research is an English teacher and class VII A consisting of 40 students.
Data and Source Data
In this research, video recorders, photographs and audio recordings are used as secondary data. Video recorders were used when the researcher observed Class VII A at Darul Lughah Wal Karomah High School and photographs were used when the researcher recorded the data. The sources of data in this research were the informants English teacher and students of class VII A of SMP Darul Lughah Wal Karomah.
The researcher interviewed the teacher and observed the class, then recorded the English teacher's interview results and took documentation of the students' activities using scrabble as a medium for teaching vocabulary in the class.

The researcher used non-participant observation, where the researcher comes to the location of the activity site to find out how the teacher implements scrabble media in the classroom, but the researcher is not involved in teaching and learning activities. This method is used to obtain data through direct interviews in a guided way between the author and the people who provided the information using the interview list. The interview used in this study was semi-structured interviews, namely interviews conducted more freely compared to structured interviews.
The technique of collecting data through a documentary study attempted to obtain data and information in the form of written notes or images that are stored and related to the problem under investigation. Most of the available data is in the form of letters, prescriptions, reports, diaries, artifacts, photographs, and other stored data.
Data Analysis
Documents are not limited by space and time, so they provide opportunities for researchers to know things that happened to strengthen observational data and interviews in checking the validity of data, making interpretations, and drawing conclusions. Data condensation refers to the process of selecting, focusing, simplifying, abstracting, and transforming data close to the whole volume, from written field notes, interview transcripts, empirical documents, and materials. The process of data condensation was obtained after the researcher did an interview and got written data in the field, then later the researcher selects the data from the interview results that are relevant to get the required research focus researcher.
Presenting the data here will also help in understanding the context of the study as a more in-depth analysis is conducted. The conclusions here are drawn by the researcher from the beginning. Researchers collect such data in search of understanding that has no pattern, no regularity of explanation, and no flow of cause and effect.
Validity of Data
Method triangulation is an attempt to check the validity of the data or check the validity of research findings. The triangulation method can be done by using more than one data collection technique to obtain the same data by checking and rechecking.49 By rechecking the data obtained, a comparison of the results of the methods that the researchers did, deliver , for example the comparison of interview results with observation results. The reason why the researcher used this data collection technique was that according to the researcher the three methods would produce valid data.
With this technique, the data collected is expected to conform to the construct for drawing conclusions. This combination of triangulation is carried out simultaneously with field activities, allowing the researcher to make complete records.
