ENERAL INFORMA TION

HONORS AND AWARDS

Albert Weinstein graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1916 as a Founder's Medalist at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1929. After training~ at Vanderbilt and Johns Hopkins, he was again appointed chief resident of medicine by Vanderbilt and served as an emeritus faculty member and clinical professor of medicine ~ his death on October 1, 1963.

ADMISSION

Because medical schools use the exam score for sdectilX applicants, students must take the exam no later than the spring before the application is submitted. The score achieved on this exam will be used by the admissions committee in considering applications for admission to the School of Medicine, together with school records and recommendations. Successful applicants must make a $50 deposit. This deposit is credited towards the payment of the first tuition, and is refunded until January 15, if the student does not matriculate. Application for advanced standing must be submitted according to the procedure described (or admission to the first year. A deposit of $' is required of successful applicants. REGULATIONS

All second year students must take Part I for credit and fourth year students must take Part II of the Narj Board Examinations for credit. Medical graduate employment is arranged by the Graduate School faculty. Diplomas must be requested from the Dean of the Graduate School.
