This research aimed at finding out the improvement of student‟s vocabulary in reading by using Word Walls Media at the seventh grade of Mts.
Negeri Bantaeng. This research applied a quantitative method in form of experimental design that spending two months period of time for the data collection by using pretest, treatment and posttest. The data was taken from 23 students by using purposive sampling technique of the seventh grade of Mts.
Negeri Bantaeng to find out improvement the students vocabulary on the use of word walls media.
The result of this research showed that students‟ vocabulary was significance difference between score pretest and posttest. And the mean score of pretest verb was 50.39, pre-test noun was 66.95 and pre-test adjective was 42.60 and mean score of posttest verb was 76.46, post-test noun was 86.08 and post-test adjective was 67.82. The improvement from pretest to posttest can improve verb was 51%, can improve noun was 29% and can improve adjective was 59%. Then the calculating the t-test value for vocabulary was 114.1 and t-table was 2.074. It means that t-test was greater than t-table or 114.1>2.074. The alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. It can be conclude that the use of Word Walls Media can improve students‟ vocabulary achievement especially for students at Mts. Negeri Bantaeng.

Pipi uspa. 2019. Penggunaan Word Walls Media untuk meningkatkan kosa kata siswa dalam keterampilan membaca di kelas tujuh Mts. Negeri Bantaeng, Dibimbing oleh Nurdevi Bte Abdul,S.Pd.,M.Pd dan Sujariati,S.Pd.,M.Pd.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kosa kata siswa dengan menggunakan Word Walls Media di kelas tujuh Mts. Negeri Bantaeng.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kosa kata siswa dengan menggunakan Word Walls Media di kelas tujuh Mts. Negeri Bantaeng. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode kuantitatif dalam bentuk desain eksperimental yang menghabiskan waktu dua bulan untuk pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan pretest, treatment dan posttest. Data diambil dari 23 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dari kelas tujuh Mts. Negeri Bantaeng untuk mengetahui peningkatan kosakata siswa tentang penggunaan Word Walls Media.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kosakata siswa adalah perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor pretes dan postes. Dan skor rata-rata pretest kata kerja adalah 50,39, kata benda pre-test adalah 66,95 dan kata sifat pre-test adalah 42,60 dan skor rata-rata posttest kata kerja adalah 76,46, kata benda post- test adalah 86,08 dan kata sifat post-test adalah 67,82. Peningkatan dari pretest ke posttest dapat meningkatkan kata kerja 51%, dapat meningkatkan kata benda 29%
dan dapat meningkatkan kata sifat 59%. Kemudian menghitung nilai uji-t untuk kosakata adalah 114,1 dan t-tabel adalah 2,074. Ini berarti bahwa uji-t lebih besar dari t-tabel atau 114,1> 2,074. Hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima dan hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Word Walls Media dapat meningkatkan prestasi kosa kata siswa terutama untuk siswa di Mts. Negeri Bantaeng.
