College Activities at a glance 2017-18

SRC activities during 2017-18

1. International Yoga Day: (21/06/2017)

Yoga has been practiced in India since ancient time; however it is recently that its importance is being realized at international level and with hearty endeavors of our Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi, 21st June has been declared as

“International Yoga Day”. Accordingly, the first “International Yoga Day” was celebrated all over the world on 21-6-2016. The celebration of Yoga day was made at hostel premises. The students and staff members along with Principal Dr. Sunil R.

Patel, participated in celebration with fervor and zeal. Different Pranayama and Yogasans were practiced from morning 7.00 to 7.45 hours at this centre. The students enjoyed the celebration and made up their mind to inculcate the habit of doing Pranayama and Yogasans every day.

2. Inter Collegiate Drama/Folk dance/Mono acting Tournament: (29/09/2017) Students from COA, Jabugam viz. Sanjariya Mayur, Patel Dhaval, Vidja Jain, Loh Naran. Raiyani Mayank, Virapara Vivek, Muliya Hardik, Rajpura Saif and Parmar Dashrathbhai participated in Inter Collegiate Drama competition while Ankit Babariya, Virpura Vivek, Raiyani Mayank, Loh Naran, Ninama Atulkumar, Vansiya Manish, Parmar Hitesh, Rathva Rushiraj and Vishal Satapara participated in Inter Collegiate Folk dance and Parmar Dasharathbhai in Inter Collegiate Monoacting competition organized at Sheth M. C. College of Dairy Science, Anand Agricultural University, Anand on 29/09/2017. Dr. C. S. Baladhiya was with them as a Team Manager.

3. Inter Collegiate Chess Tournament: (03-04/10/2017)

Students from COA, Jabugam viz. Vivek Mavani, Satapara Vishal, Patel Dhaval, and Chauhan Mahendra with team manager Dr. C. S. Baladhiya participated in Inter Collegiate Chess Tournament organized at IABMI, AAU, Anand on 03-04/10/2017.

Among these students, Patel Dhaval was selected as University Player who along with other players brought the University up to final and our University was runner up for this tournament.

4. Inter Collegiate Table-tennis Tournament: (03-04/10/2017)

Students from COA, Jabugam viz. Rana Hardeepsinh, Pandya Pranavkumar and Raiyani Mayank with team manager Dr, C. S. Baladhiya participated in Inter Collegiate Table-tennis Tournament organized at IABMI, AAU, Anand on 03- 04/10/2017.

5. Inter Collegiate Badminton Tournament: (06/10/2017)

Students from COA, Jabugam viz. Ganatra Gaurav, Sunil Mitapara, Hemal Patel and Aghera Nikhil with team manager Dr. M. R. Dabhi participated in Inter Collegiate Badminton Tournament organized at BACA, Anand on 06/10/2017.

6. Inter Collegiate Kabaddi Tournament: (03/10/2016)

Students from COA, Jabugam viz. Bhathiyara Juned Ahemed, Saiyad Sohilali, Parmar Sumitkumar, Parmar Sumitkumar, Jadeja Jayveersinh, Salvi (Patel) Milankumar, Bhankhar Pratik, Loh Naran, Joshi Rahul, Patel Tarang, Patel Jay and Vidja Jatin, with team manager Dr. G. L. Kadam actively participated in Inter Collegiate Kabaddi Tournament organized at College of Agril. Engg. and Technology, Godhra on 12/11/2017. Among these students, Jadeja Jayveersinh was selected as University Player.

Students from COA, Jabugam viz. Saiyad Sohil Ali, Mori Maulikkumar, Satapara Vishal, Chudasama Satish, Rathava Rushiraj, Parmar Hiteshkumar, Babariya Ankitkumar, Patel Kirti, Loh Naran, Patel Pradhuyum, Chauhan Mahendrasinh and Dharasara Dharmesh with team manager Dr. Vinod B. Mor actively participated in Inter Collegiate Kho kho Tournament organized at College of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, AAU, Anand on 14/11/2017. Among these students, Saiyad Sohil was selected as University Player.

Students from COA, Jabugam viz. Loh Naran, Jadeja Jayveersinh, Dhasanda Dharmesh, Bhankahr Pratik, Patel Pradhuyum, Babariya Ankit, Parmar Rudra, Sangani Paras, Patel Dhurv, Patel Jay, Rathva Rushiraj, Rathva Amit and Patel Hardik with team manager Shri. H. D. Rahevar actively participated in Inter Collegiate Athletics organized at FPT and BE, AAU, Anand on 21/02/2018 to 22/02/2018.

Students from COA, Jabugam viz. Mavani Vivek, Shiyal Vikram (C), Ghetiya Hardik, Mithapara Sunil, Tiwari Parth, Parmar Hiteshkumar, Joshi Rahul, Rathva Amit, Jadeja Siddhraj, Aghera Nikhil, Patel Himanashu, Dhandhaliya Madhav, Baladhaniya Uttam, Godhvani Chirag and Patel Akash with team manager Rahevar Hemrajsinh actively participated in Inter Collegiate Cricket Tournament organized at Dairy Science College, AAU, Anand on 03/02/2018 to 07/02/2018.

10. District Level competition on "Khel Mahakumbha" organized by Government of Gujarat

A district level competition on "Khel Mahakumbha" was organized by Government of Gujarat in which students of different colleges from the district participated. From our college, the students Mr. Piyush Patel, Mavani Vivek, Ghanshyam Sodvadiya, Pranav Pandya, Vishal Satapara and Rana Harshdipsinh participated in different events.

11. Parthenium eradication programme

Eight semester students from COA, Jabugam viz. Mavani Vivek, Shiyal Vikram, Ghetiya Hardik, Patel Himanashu, Dhandhaliya Madhav, Baladhaniya Uttam, Godhvani Chirag, Ravi Bharwad, Chauhan Narendra, Dodiya Kuldipsinh, Makawana Pravinkumar, Patel Parag, Patel Arpan, Patel Chitan, Patel Jay, Patel Piyush, Rathava Parth, Sinha Aditya, Sodvadiya Ghanshyam and Patel Akash with

Dr. M. R. Dabhi actively conducted the Parthenium eradication programme and awareness of hazards of Parthenium species amongst students.

12. Basic Rock Climbing programme (11-09-2017 to 20-09-2017)

Students from COA, Jabugam viz. Mori Maulik, Rathava Rushiraj, Vansiya Manish and Jadeja Siddhraj actively participated in Basic Rock Climbing Course for boys–2017-18 organized by Anand Agricultural University, Anand at Mount Abu during 11-09-2017 to 20-09-2017.

13. Inter Collegiate Elocution Tournament: (03/12/2017)

Students from COA, Jabugam viz. Sagar Pola and Parmar Dashrath participated in the Elocution competition entitled “Agriculture Education: Status and Prospects” held on 03/12/2017 at Anand Agricultural University, Anand. Among these students, Parmar Dashrath secured First position at University level. Dr.

Ranganathan Swamy was with them as a Team Manager.
