The Two Day Premier Chess League (Bengal Chapter 2023-zone D) Championship was a magnificent display of the war of brains at the college campus. The Prize Distribution ceremony witnessed the illustrious presence of Arjun Awardee Mr. Dibyendu Barua,the renowned Chess Grandmaster.The august gathering was addressed by Mr.Simarpreet Singh,Director,JIS Group and Prof.(Dr).Soumen Banerjee, Principal, Narula Institute of Technology . Besides the dignitaries the awards were presented by Mr.Amritendu Banerjee,Director , Eventz Worldwide, organizer of this Chess League, Dr .Nidhi Singh,Registrar,Narula Institute of Technology and other higher officials of Sara Bangla Daba Sangostha (SBDS).
The Business Administration Department of Narula Institute of Technology organized an Industrial tour at BSE training institute on 14th July, 2023 at 11 AM.
Total 47 students attended the program.
The Department of Computer Application, Narula Institute of Technology has conducted an Industry Visit on 21st July, 2023 for the 2nd year BCA students at Ardent Computech Pvt. Ltd., Salt Lake, Sector V.
Blood Donation Camp ---- We are pleased to inform all that the NSS Unit of Narula Institute of Technology celebrated "World Conservation Day" by organising a Blood Donation Camp on 28th July, 2023 at the institute premises in collaboration with Health Point. NiT has been religiously organizing blood donation camps every year and students and faculty members comes forward voluntarily to donate blood for Thalassemia and Cancer patients. More than 125 units of blood were donated by our donors.

Engineering of Narula Institute of Technology has organized a One-Week International Faculty Development Program on “Recent Trends and Advancements in Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP)” during 12-17th July, 2023 in the online mode. The program's objective was to improve the knowledge and abilities of academics, researchers, and industry experts in the fields of ML and NLP.
The Faculty Development Program on "Professional Communication and Universal Human Values" was conducted by the English section of the Basic Science
& Humanities department of Narula Institute of Technology from 18th July to 24th July 2023. The program aimed to enhance the communication skills of faculty members and promote the understanding of universal human values in academic and professional settings. The event was held through a blended mode, incorporating both offline and online sessions to cater to a diverse audience.
Workshop on The Impact of NEP in the Higher Education” on 22nd July,2023 --- The impact of NEP in the higher education” organised at Narula Institute of Technology focused on shedding light on the importance of the New Education Policy (NEP) in Higher Education by esteemed guest, Prof. Dr.
Manpreet Singh Manna,Pro Vice Chancellor , Chandigarh University ,former director, AICTE. The discussion highlighted the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and its significance in the context of higher education.
The Department of Business Administration of Narula Institute of Technology has organised a "Session on CANCER AWARENESS" in association with Karkinos Oncology Institute on 19th July,2023 with the objective of creating awareness about cancer and to effectively propagate the symptoms and methods of precaution against the deadly disease. Keeping the same in mind, the students have prepared posters and PowerPoint presentations. The Guest speakers were:

Expanding Horizons
The Department of Computer Application, Narula Institute of Technology has organized an Invited Talk on "Artistic Multiscript Document Recognition" on 25th July,2023. The session was addressed by Dr.
Kaushik Roy, Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science, West Bengal State University, Barasat, India and it was attended by more than 45 participants. He covered diverse topics like Multiscript Document Recognition, Script Identification and Classification, Automatic Script Identification Techniques, Text Extraction and Recognition
A one-day webinar titled "Preliminary Understanding of CAD CAM" was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Narula Institute of Technology on 27th July, 2023 through the virtual platform. The webinar aimed to provide students with an insight into Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) technologies,
which play a vital role in modern engineering and manufacturing industries.

Sumit Agarwal, an entrepreneur and LinkedIn Top Voice of India graced the occasion with his valuable insights. Mr. Agarwal engaged the audience with anecdotes and information regarding maximization of visibility and art of digital conversation.

a Phd from Calcutta University . Her expertise arena of research is “Algorithms for Correctness Checking And Security Assessment for Microfluid Biochips.”
Prof Md Ashifuddin Mondal of CSE Department was awarded a Phd from Aliah Universtiy. Her expertise arena of research is “On Issuues for Building an Intelligent Traffic Management System for Smart Cities.”
Prof. Dr. Swastika Chakraborty, Department of E.C.E on the topic of “Short Term Forecast (Now casting) of Orographic Rain for Landslide Prediction Analyzing DWR Data over Hilly Region (Agartala and Mohanbari) and Development of Associated Warning System.”
