Hindi week celebration in ICAR RC for NEH Region, Mizoram centre, Kolasib
Every country has a language which is a global recognition of that country. Hindi is the mother tongue of India. Hindi language is the fourth most spoken language in the world. Mother tongue is synonymous with unity in diversity, which is a means of expressing the feelings of the masses. With the aim of making Hindi language a public language, Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Research Complex for North Eastern Hill Region, Mizoram Centre, Kolasib celebrated ‘Hindi Week’ from 13 September to 20 September 2019. The programme were coordinated by Dr. Vishambhar Dayal and Mr. Jeetendra Kumar Soni, scientists of the institution, under the guidance of Dr. I. Shakuntala (Joint Director). In the series of programs, Hindi-quiz, hand writing, singing and extempore competition were organized, in which officers and employees of every section of the organization participated in a large numbers and expressed their interest towards learning Hindi. On the last day of the ‘Hindi Week’ celebration 20th September, winning and participation prizes were distributed by Dr. Lalhruaipuii (Scientist). The organizing committee expressed thankful to all the scientist and staff for participation and making the programme successful.
