1 RESEARCH PAPER
It is rightly said that journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Each step in life should be taken with great care. Life is full of ups and downs. Overcoming the difficult times and cherishing merry moments, we can enjoy this joyful journey.
Optimistic Outlook leads to better life.
Winston Churchill said, “A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity. An optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty”. One should maintain optimistic mind set and attitude in every situation.
Negative thoughts pollute our mind and positive ones let us understand the things in a new way. Happiness comes from within and not from any external factor. We find happiness when we see positive aspects of anything rather focusing on the negative ones. For celebration of life i.e. to enjoy life, never strive for perfection. Enjoy each precious moment as it comes. Life is meant to be lived with contentment. An optimistic person is more hopeful than any other person.
Hope is a pathway to get success in life. We become what we think. Let each day of life be a festival of joy. One should spare time for himself or herself and live in
his/ her own way. There should not be look back. Keep hope in mind as it minimises stress and makes life easeful. As it is said, hope for the best and be ready for the worse, so that we can deal with problems easily. We should look on the bright side of life, envision a bright future and enjoy the moments. Such people can never suffer from depression rather they easily cope with any adverse situation. Be ready to accept the thorns among the roses. They are challenges, failure and sorrow to give us good lessons.
Willpower is one of the most important requirements for enjoying life. It is a key to happy life. It is attached with positive thinking. It affects our beliefs and behaviour. In order to enjoy life we get strength by willpower in order to overcome negativities of life. To be happy and to enjoy life, always be yourself, hear the voice within you. Keep self confidence high.
Aactually we don‟t lack strength, we lack our will power. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming

2 incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning.”
In order to enjoy and celebrate life, we should have faith and firm determination. For this, we need patience.
If we promise, “if I can, I will, we will be definitely successful in life. We should stay focused on our goals and remember 3Ds – Duty, Dedication and Determination. To overcome various challenges in life, we must struggle bravely. For growing strong and firm, we should learn from our own mistakes, know our limitations (may be imperfections or shortcomings). To grow strong and firm, we should not be depressed during adversity, as adversity gives us virtues: Wisdom Melancholy, Justice, Pity and Charity (in Thomas Gray‟s A Hymn to Adversity)
To celebrate and enjoy life, we should always be in communion with Nature. Enjoy sensuousness of Nature as Keats has done. Music and sounds in Nature should be listened with joy, fragrances should be inhaled, see various enchanting hues of Nature with enthusiasm, beauty of sky, hills, plants, trees, streams, rivers and feel the touch of soft breeze, velvet grass and so on. Taste juice of various fruits in Nature given by God. John Keats says:
“Where with the seasonable month endows
The grass, the thicket, and the fruit- tree wild.”
(Ode to Nightingale)
William Words Worth has said, “Nature never did betray the heart that loved her.”
(A Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey) But in the present era, man is busy in accumulation of riches. Materialism should never be passion in life, it snatches away happiness. In his one of the poems, Wordsworth said,
“The world is too much with us, late or soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers;
Little we see in Nature that is ours;
We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!”
(“The World is Too Much With Us”)
So, we should enjoy every little thing in Nature instead of running after trivial things in life.
We can live “value living” by enjoying various hues of life. Sing, dance, enjoy every precious moment of life to fullest. The more we enjoy, the more we will get moments of celebration. We shouldn’t bother about riches, should never measure richness by materials we gain, but by happiness we obtain. Let us be satisfied with what we have. In the words of W.H.
Davies,
“Train up thy mind to feel content What matters then how low thy store?
What we enjoy, and not possess, Makes rich or poor”
(“Songs of Joy”)
Life is a beautiful journey. It should be enjoyed by following right track. To adopt positive attitude, we should live life thankfully, never be complaining. If we make our life a message to the world, we feel sublime, we create positive aura which makes others also happy. Love is such a beautiful feeling in the world which can’t be explained. The whole world is like a big single family. Love, care for others broadens our vision. Oliver Goldsmith loves to be called „citizen of the world.‟ Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam is an outcome of attitude towards togetherness. The Veda says that entire humanity is one family. All religions give the same divine message of unity. In unity there is celebration.

3 Hence, let each day be a festival of joy. Life should not only be lived, it should be celebrated. In the words of H.W.
Longfellow,
“Act,- act in the living Present!
Heart within and God o’erhead!”
(A Psalm of Life)
