Focus on the US·Israel QIZ Case ··· Yang, Yongseok Transformation and Globalization in the Former GDR. The purpose of this paper is to explore the process by which the US's comprehensive approach to the North Korean nuclear issue has been shaped and to forecast the prospect of its implementation. This article argues that the comprehensive approach to the North Korean nuclear issues is designed to provide a comprehensive solution to the North Korea problem.
The prize for North Korea's denuclearization includes normalization of relations between the US and North Korea, between Japan and North Korea, the establishment of a peace regime on the Korean Peninsula, and energy assistance to North Korea. This paper concludes that North Korea, which wants to normalize relations with the US, will be active in implementing the agreement to avoid economic sanctions imposed by the US and recover its economy as soon as the BDA issue is resolved, while some reservations are inevitable in the process of dismantling North Korea's existing nuclear facilities.
