Начало урока (5 minutes)

Greeting. Warm-up. Brainstorming. It’s time to think It’s time to speak It’s time to show Ready steady go! Are you ready for the English lesson now? - Yeeeeees!

- Yes, perfect! Take your seats!  

Середина урока I. Let’s check your homework. I will show you the words and you should find the translation of the words. Audience – аудитория Program – бағдарлама Show – шоу Channel – арна, канал Character – кейіпкер Broadcast – таратылым, трансляция Advert – жарнама Screen – экран Camera – камера Remote control – пульт Participant – қатысушы Viewer – көрермен Presenter –

тележүргізуші Series – топтама Well done! Good for you! II. Presentation of the new lesson Past simple is used for past actions which had happened in the past.

For example: I worked (affirmative). I didn’t work (negative). Did I work?

(question) Special questions: What? Where? When? Why? Who? When we make sentence in question with special questions, special questions are used before the auxiliary verb “did”. For example: Where did you go? What did you drink?

Who did you go with? Why did you do it? When did you take it? New words (irregular verbs) Be – was/were Do – did Begin – began Become – became Break – broke Build – built Bring – brought Buy – bought Go – went Sleep – slept Run – ran Speak – spoke III. Doing tasks Students A, B, C will show the verbs with actions and others should guess them and make sentences to these verbs in affirmative, negative and question. I – play, go You – listen, sleep He – jump, run.

IV. Individual and pair work. The video about past simple dialogues will be shown and after that students make the dialogue in pairs. For less able students will be given more adapted tasks. V. Group work For each group is given a card with pictures and their task is to make as many sentences as they can
