Recommendations/ Suggestion for Future Research

There are some recommendations made for further research on the same topic in accordance with the limitations described in the preceding section.

The first recommendation is to provide the questionnaire in many languages, such as English, Malay, Tamil, and Chinese, to improve understanding and prevent any misunderstandings that could lead to incorrect responses, which would damage the questionnaire's accuracy. Apart from that, the suggestion that can be displayed is to change the qualitative method to a quantitative method. This is because our respondents are Universiti Malaysia Kelantan’s staff who may prefer to be interviewed face-to-face rather than answering questionnaires via google form. This can also help us to get more opinions or feedback from respondents about cashless payment.

Next suggestion is creating a poster or short video on how to use cashless payments wisely. This is because there are still many users who do not understand how to use cashless payments by using mobile phones or cards such as debit cards, credit cards, touch’ n go and so on. With the existence of this poster or short video, it can help to increase knowledge to all users regardless of age. To further develop the research model used in this study in order to have a deeper knowledge of the variables affecting client acceptance Only 6 elements that affect customer satisfaction are covered in this study. Therefore, more research should take into account other variables like cost and promotional activities that may affect client approval.

Future research is urged to include the analysis of intent to use repeatedly.

Finally, disclose knowledge about the advantages of using cashless payments to all retailers. This is because retailers or dealers can raise their standards like dealers abroad. Most traders abroad use cashless payment such as QR code scan or online transfer. This method is often used by grocery stores, mini markets, restaurants, etc. This can also prevent the

occurrence of counterfeit money fraud. There are also unwary traders who accept counterfeit money of great value. So, by using this cashless payment, traders will not be deceived and can avoid losses.

103 5.7 Overall Conclusion of The Study

The results of this study showed that the factors that influence consumer acceptance of cashless payment are significantly affected by performance expectancy, facilitating condition, social influence, innovativeness, perceived technology security, and hedonic motivation. The results of this study also indicate that most respondents do have a strong propensity to use cashless payment. This decision may have been influenced by the benefits of cashless payment, which encourage its use. As a result, cashless payments are becoming more popular in Malaysia, especially in light of government encouragement for the transition to a cashless society and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has altered people's habits.

The data also revealed that security and privacy are the key factors preventing non- users from embracing cashless payment. Because the cashless payment system relies on the transfer of digital information to conduct financial transactions, it exposes customers to cybersecurity concerns. Cashless payment is difficult to utilize because of low levels of financial literacy and information technology, according to non-users as well. Among non- users, the usage of cashless payment has been hampered by a lack of facilities, resources, and business acceptance. Making sure that people may use cashless payment to attain financial inclusion is crucial if we are to transition to a cashless society. This might help Malaysia successfully transition to a cashless society.
