GITTDELINES FOR AUTHORS

The material submitted to Intellectual Discourse should not have been published elsewhere, and should not be under consideration by another publication.

Four types of contributions are considered for publication in this journal: major articles reporting findings

of

original research; review articles synthesizing important &liberations related to disciplines within the domain of Islamic sciences;

$hort research notes or conmunications, containing original ideas or discussions on vital issues of contemporary concem and book reviews; and brief reader comments, or statements of diyergent viewpoints.

Thee copies of a manuscript shoutd be submitted to the Editor. The manuscripts should be printed in double space on one side of thq sheet. The cover page should

carry the title, name

of

the author(s), affiliatirin(s), and the complete mailing address of the principal author. The tide of the manusc pt should be repeated on the top of the first page of the text without author's name. A machine readable copy of

the manuscript in ASCII text would be appreciated.

The style should follow the Chicago Manunl of Stylz, laest edition. References should be sequentially numbered in the text in superccripts- References and notes should be combined in one sequence and should be ty?ed at the end of the text in order of appearance lvith corresponding Arabic numerals.
