The material submitted to lhtellectual Discourse should not have been published elsewhere, and should not be under consideration by another publication.
Four types of contributions are considered for publication in this joumd: major artjcles reporling findings of original researchl review articles synthesizing importanr deliberations related to disciplines within rhe domain
of
Islamic sciences; short research notes or communications, containing origina) ideas or discussions on vital issues of contemporary concem and book reviews; and brief reader comments, or statements of divergent viewpoints.Thrcc copies of a manuscript should be submitted to the Editor. The manuscripts should be printed in double space on one side of the sheet. The cover page should carry the title, name ol'the author(s), atllliation(s), and the complere maiJing address
ol thc principal author. The title of the manuscript should be repeated on tho top of thc lirst page of the text without author's name, A machine readabie copy of the manuscript in ASCII tcxt would be appreciated.
Thc style should lbllow the Chicago Manual of Sryle, latest edition. Ref'erences should bc scquentially numbered in the text in superscripts. Ref'erences and notes should be combined in one sequence and should be typed at the end of the text ;n order of appearance with conesponding Arabic numerals. Some specimen citations arc given below:
