THE PERCEPTION ON THE KNOWLEDGE OF ISLAMIC BANKING AND FINANCE AMONG THE SABAHAN STUDENTS OF HOSPITALITY PROGRAMS,

UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA SABAH

This survey to investigate the extent of knowledge of Islamic banking and finance among UMS students from Tourism Management (HP08) & Hotel Management program (HE08).

A total of 60 respondents from HP08 & HE08 have completed answering the questionnaires.

Knowledge from respondent. “What is the difference between Islamic &

conventional banking”?

Ohh, for me Islamic

banking based on shariah (Islamic law) while

conventional banking not based on shariah.

In my opinion, it is only the application of Islamic law that distinguishes it. Islamic

banking is a bank that based on shariah while conventional banking purpose to grow

the money through interest.
