II. Course Name: Introduction to Criminology

III. Course Description: This course presents an overview of the different schools of thought in criminology; theories that explain criminal

behavior; techniques for measuring the characteristics of criminals, crime and victims; the interrelatedness of theory, policy, and practice in the criminal justice system; and current issues and studies in criminology.

IV. Course Learning Outcome:

CLO1: Conduct Criminological research on evolution and development of Criminology.

CLO2: Understand the Principles of and Jurisprudence of basic concept of Criminal law in relation to Crime causation.

CLO3: Engage in lifelong learning and understanding of the need to keep abreast on the developments in the field Criminology V. No. of Units: Lec: 3 Lab: 0
