GOD’S WORDS FOR TODAY (Lk. 12:49-53) The Holy Gospel according to St. Luke,

Jesus said to his disciples, “I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing! There is a baptism with which I must be baptized, and how great is my anguish until it is accomplished!

Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. From now on a household of five will be divided, three against two and two against three; a father will be divided against his son and a son his father; a mother against her daughter against her mother, a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and a daughter-in- law against her mother-in-law.

Our “encounter with Jesus” is the foundation of our “love for the poor.” This insight is basic, as our bishops teach, for a genuine response to our needy brothers and sisters.

3 Blessed Oscar Romero is a contemporary icon of the Church’s option for the poor. On May 23, 2015, Oscar Romero, the martyred Archbishop of San Salvador in Central America, was beatified, setting him on the path to sainthood.

Earlier on February 3, 2015 Pope Francis had officially declared Oscar Romero, a martyr of the Catholic faith.

FROM THE OVCAD – INSTITUTIONAL HEALTH SERVICES:

Cont… Simple Ways to Live a Healthy Lifestyle Exercise

One of the biggest reasons we're have a weight problem these days is because we sit around too much. We know we need to exercise, but we have so many excuses not to do it. We're too busy, don't know where to start, we're not motivated or we're afraid we'll injure ourselves or we're afraid that exercise has to be vigorous for what our bodies can handle. The truth is, everything counts and the more you move, the healthier you'll be.

It's great if you can spend time exercising - Meaning you're sweating, working in your target heart rate zone and/or doing something to strengthen your body.

Turn Off Hunger. Turn On Weight loss

But it doesn't always have to be that way. Moderate activities like chores, gardening and walking can make a difference.
