CAVITE STATE UNIVERSITY SCOPE OF WORK:

A. CONSTRUCTION OF HRM HOSTEL BUILDING AT SILANG CAMPUS GENERAL NOTES:

1. The project should be finished in 240 calendar days.

2. Site inspection is a must. Verify the actual condition of the site.

3. Building permits, necessary clearances and other government taxes are to be secured by the contractor.

B. Technical Description I. Earthworks

A. Site Preparation/ Temporary Enclosure/ Mobilization/ Demobilization/ Office/

Bunkhouses/ Comfort Rooms/etc.

Provide the following:

- Billboard

- Bankhouse with office - Temporary comfort rooms

- Site temporary enclosure may be blue sack or any suitable materials that may enclose the workplace

B. Excavation / backfilling /clearing

1. This work includes excavation for all column/wall footings, and tie beams.

2. The area should be cleared/cleaned before and after the construction work at least six meters away from the building line. Unusable used formworks, excessive soil fill and all other unwanted debris of construction works should be disposed properly.

C. Additional fill & soil poisoning 1. Provide additional fill.

2. The area should be treated with termite proofing. Termite proofing should be conducted by an accredited termite specialist.

3. Gravel fill = 0.05 m. thick II. Concrete Works

A. Cast-in-place concrete

1. Concrete works include columns, footings, stiffener columns, slab, beams, stairs, roof beams, lavatory counters, ledge/canopy and all other concrete components needed to complete the structure.

- Provide lintel beams for the opening of windows and doors. Use 0.15m x 0.20m

reinforced with 10 mm bars.

2. Strength of concrete to be adopted shall be3,500 psi.

3. Concrete works should be plain cement finish.

B. Steel reinforcement

1. Use deformed bar grade 40.

2. Provide 12 mm. Ø temperature bars at 0.30 meter on center both ways for slab on fill at ground floor.

3. Provide necessary tools and equipment needed for steel works.

4. See plan for details and extent of work.

III. Masonry and Tile Works A. CHB Laying

1. Installation of CHB reinforced with 10 mm Ø deformed bar spaced at 0.60 m. on center every three layers.

a. CHB 6" for the perimeter/exterior walls and septic tank.

b. CHB 4" for interior/partition walls.

B. Tile Works

Supply and installation of the following:

1. Ceramic colored tiles (locally-made) 0.40 m. x 0.40 m. for the whole area of ground and second floor of the building. Tiles must be accented with dark colors. Use unglazed ceramic tiles for kitchen laboratory, laundry, entrance/exit lobby and ramp.

2. Granite tiles with groove for the stairs.

3. For the comfort room:

a. Granite colored tiles 24" x 24" for flooring (unglazed)

b. Decorative colored tiles 12" x 24" glazed tiles for the entire wall (from floor to ceiling)

c. Granite slab for the lavatory concrete counter including 0.6 m of its wall.

4. Consult the end user for color preference of tiles.

IV. Carpentry Works

1. Provide necessary form lumber and scaffolding needed for the completion of the project.

2. Provide ceiling works for the whole area of ground floor and second floor including all comfort rooms.

a. Use cement board 1/4" thick for the ceiling board.

b. Use metal furring as ceiling runner/joist and hunger. Ceiling joist at 0.40 m. on center.

c. Provide decorative wooden molding to all ceiling perimeter and corners.

d. Use pre-painted spandrel 4" for the whole area of eaves with pre-painted end and center molding.

e. Provide ceiling ventilation for every 1.0 meter and all corners of the eaves.

V. Trusses & Roofing Works A. Trusses:

1. See plans for sizes of bar and other details for the installation of steel trusses.

2. This work also includes painting of two (2) coats of epoxy primer and two (2) coats of QDE paint.

3. Provide necessary tools and equipment.

4. All joint connections should be fully welded and shall be provided with 10mm.

thick.gusset plates for member connections and base plates for truss to column connections.

5. Use CEE purlins ga. 16, 2" x 4" at 0.60 m. on center.

6. Provide 12 mm. Ø plain bar with standard turnbuckle for horizontal cross bracing

7. Provide 4-16 mm. Ø anchor bolts with nut and washer for each support.

8. Provide 12 mm. Ø with nuts and washers for sag rod.

B. Roofing:

1. Adopt gauge 26 (0.5mm) rib type pre-painted roof sheet.

2. Adopt gauge 26 (0.5mm) stainless gutter.

3. Provide pre-painted spandrel 6" for fascia cladding.

4. All attachment for roofing sheet and ridge roll shall be 2 1/2" teck screw for metal with water sealant.

VI. Miscellaneous Works

Supply and installation of the following:

A. Doors

- 1 set of D-1 Aluminum frame doors complete with all accessories with 3/8" thick colored glass on colored powder coated finished.

- 4 sets of D-3 Flush doors with 1/4" thick clear glass view window, complete with all accessories on 2" x 5" KD door jamb.

- 11 sets of D-4 Flush doors complete with all accessories on 2" x 5" KD door jamb.

- 2 sets of D-5 Flush doors complete with all accessories on 2" x 5" KD door jamb.

- 4 sets of D-6 (0.60 m. x 1.40 m.) Aluminum frame door complete with all accessories, alum. cladding.

- 9 sets of D-7 Aluminum frame doors complete with all accessories, with decorative glass window.

B. Windows

- 18 sets W-1: sets of W-1 Aluminum sliding glass windows complete with all accessories; 1/4" thick colored glass on powder coated colored framing fixed header; on 2"x 4" colored alum. Jamb.

- 4 sets of W-2 Aluminum sliding glass windows complete with all accessories; 1/4"

thick colored glass on powder coated colored framing fixed header; on 2"x 4"

colored alum. Jamb.

- 1 set of W-3 Aluminum fixed glass windows complete with all accessories; 1/4"

thick colored glass on powder coated colored framing fixed header; on 2"x 4"

colored alum. Jamb.

- 4 sets of W-4 Aluminum sliding glass windows complete with all accessories; 1/4"

thick colored glass on powder coated colored framing fixed header; on 2"x 4"

colored alum. Jamb.

- 2 sets of W-5 Aluminum awning glass windows complete with all accessories; 1/4"

thick colored glass on powder coated colored framing fixed header; on 2"x 4"

colored alum. Jamb.

C. Stainless Sheet for Working Tables

- Provide ga. 16 stainless sheet for all working tables including 0.60 m. of its wall.

D. Stainless railing (Stairs, PWD ramp and grab rail for PWD CR). Provide 1.5 mm thick (304) stainless tubing for railings. Use 2” and 1” tubing.

E. Fire Escape Ladder

- Provide 1/4" x 2" stainless flat bar with 1" stainless tubing.

F. Water Proofing

- Provide 3 coats of waterproofing for the whole gutter, roofdeck area and all comfort rooms.

VII. Electrical Works

1. Installation of feeder line and secondary post including all its accessories.

- Installation of MDP, ACP, LP and all other panel boards on the plan and their circuit breakers. Bolt-on type Nema Standard should be used. Tap to the source including testing.

2. Installation of wiring/conductors and PVC conduits/junction box/utility box from main/sub-main panel boards to convenience outlet/light outlet/ACU outlet.

- THHN stranded wire, Phelp dodge or approved equal.

- PVC conduit orange pipe with sizes as indicated on the plan.

- Utility and junction boxes should be PVC & deep type.

3. Installation of electrical fixtures/switches/outlets and other electrical devices.

a. Switches (Bticino, National or its equivalent)

b. Two gang convenience outlets (Bticino, National or its equivalent) c. 2-18W LED fluorescent lamp w/ diffuser (53 sets)

d. 1-18W LED fluorescent lamp w/ diffuser (9 sets) e. Pinlight with 9W LED bulb (62 sets)

f. Spotlight 20W LED (2 sets)

g. Wall lamp with 7W LED bulb (8 sets) h. Water heater (9 units)

- Tankless water heater 6500W 220V with LED digital display.

4. Consult plan for details and extent of works.

5. Construction of service entrance is included.

VIII. Plumbing Works

A. Water Supply Line

1. Adopt PPR pipes and fittings for water lines.

a. 1” and ½” Ø for water line.

b. Provide a gate valve for every comfort room.

c. Provide water meter.

2. Supply and installation of one unit stainless tank, capsule type with partition, with concrete base.

thickness = 2.0 mm. ; length = 2.40 m. ; dia. = 2.20 m.

3. Tapping to the source is included.

4. No pipe should be embedded without testing it to leak.

B. Sewer Line and Down Spout

1. Adopt PVC heavy duty orange pipes and fittings for ventilation, downspout and the whole sewer line system including the septic tank fittings.

a. Use 4" Ø for main lines, water closet and down spout.

b. Use 2" Ø for the lavatory and ventilation.

c. Provide brass roof drain.

2. Supply and installation of RCP for storm drainage (see plan)

3. Provide one unit cistern tank (2.0 m. x 2.0 m. x 2.50 m.) used CHB #5.

4. Provide one unit septic tank (see plan)

5. Provide catch basins with 6” Ø concrete reinforced pipes.

C. Fixture

Supply and Installation of the following:

a. 1 set of Bathtub

b. 13 sets of Water closet

c. 5 sets of Under the counter lavatory

d. 9 sets of Wall hung lavatory with soap & tissue holder.

e. 9 sets of Shower head & valve f. 9 sets of Stainless sink (deep type) g. 1 set of Urinal

h. 20 pcs. of Faucet ( US std.) i. 26 pcs. of Floor drain, 4" (brass)

j. 20 pcs. of Roof drain strainer dome type (brass) k. 1 unit water pump (2.0 HP)

Note: All fixtures must beHCG, American Std, Totoor approved equivalent IX. Painting Works

The whole building should be painted both exterior and interior including doors.

1. Wood

a. Apply two coats of flatwall enamel white. Allow to dry overnight.

b. Repair minor surface imperfection with glazing putty. Let dry then sand.

c. Apply at least two coats of Quick Dry Enamel in the desired color. Allow an overnight inter coating interval.

2. Metal

a. Apply epoxy primer by brush or spray. Allow to dry for 24 hours. Apply suitable putty on imperfections, then, sand.

b. Apply at least two coats of Quick Dry Enamel in the desired color.

3. Concrete

a. Treat the surface with concrete neutralizer. Mix one part with 16 parts water by volume.

b. Apply Latex flat as primer. Repair minor surface imperfections with a suitable putty. Let dry, then sand.

c. Apply at least two coats of colored dirt resistant semi gloss latex paint ( factory mixed)

Note: Color of paint will depend upon the preference of the END-USER. Paints and its accessories should be BOYSEN or approved equal.

C. Contractor of the said project must provide an as-built plan of the project at the end of the contract as a requirement for the release of their final billing.

D. For color/types of any fixtures or materials to be used on site, consult the end-user and the inspector for approval. Consult the plan and the scope of work for the extent of tasks of the contract. If possible, let the end-user sign your sample as proof of approval.Note: In the event that discrepancies on plans and scope of work occur, generally, the scope of work prevails.

E. Resident site engineer is a must for the projects to be undertaken by the contractor of the university. In cases where there are electrical works, it is required that an electrical engineer or

a master electrician be a part of the contractor's team to supervise all electrical works.

Likewise, master plumbers must supervise plumbing works. It can be considered when only one person is the master plumber and master electrician at the same time as long as his major duty is supervision of both fields. Safety engineer is a must as per DOLE requirement. Note:

All key personnel should be included in the list of personnel for submission.

F. In cases of participation in two or more projects, the set of workers and foreman shall be different per project, however, the set of engineers and equipment may be reused.

G. Construction safety and health program as well as construction schedule (PERT/CPM/S-Curve) shall be provided by the winning bidder.

H. See plans/consult the end-user and project inspector for details and extent of work. The silence of specifications, plans, special provisions and supplementary specifications as to any detail, or the apparent omission therein of detailed description or definition of the quality of materials and workmanship shall be regarded to mean that only materials and workmanship of first class quality are to be used or employed.
