The Industrial Technology Development Division (ITDD) of the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, Emerging Technology Research, and Development (PCIEERD) is looking for a result driven, analytical, detail oriented and resourceful individual to fill the vacancy for:
Science Research Specialist II Contract of Service
SG 16 – Php 47,606.00/mo
Qualifications:
• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical, Mining, Material Science or Chemical Engineering or other related courses;
• Preferably with at least one (1) year of relevant experience on project management;
• Preferably with at least eight (8) hours of relevant training;
• Must have knowledge of developmental issues in mining;
• Excellent in oral and written communications skills in English;
• With excellent skills in decision making, critical thinking, and problem solving
• Results oriented and able to multi-task and work under pressure with minimum supervision;
• Must possess good interpersonal skills, a team player with good working attitude, committed and dedicated;
• Knowledgeable in computer applications (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
Job Description:
The Science Research Specialist II shall be responsible for performing a full range of assignments such as, but not limited to, the following technical and administrative functions:
• Guides researchers in crafting research proposals aligned to the research priorities of the Mining and Minerals Sector;
• Evaluates and facilitates approval of research mining related proposals;
• Manages mining related projects during the project implementation and completion;
• Prepares necessary technical reports, gathers relevant data, and necessary documentation in the conduct of proposal evaluation, project monitoring and other activities of the mining sector Coordination with researchers from Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) and Research and Development Institutes (RDIs) for mining related proposals and projects;
• Coordination with mining stakeholders and other government and non- government agencies local and abroad for mining related activities;
• Maintains project documents and reports and other documents as outputs of the Mining and Minerals Sector activities;

• Provides administrative and logistic support in the conduct of mining related activities, meetings, technical forum among others;
•
Performs other tasks/related functions of a regular or special nature, as assigned.Competencies:
