The Emerging Technology Development Division (ETDD) of the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, Emerging Technology Research, and Development (PCIEERD) is looking for a result driven, analytical, detail oriented and resourceful individual to fill the vacancy for:

Science Research Specialist II Contract of Service

SG 16 – Php42,127.20/mo

Qualification:

 Civil Service Eligible- Professional or PRC Registered (without this eligibility, application will not be processed);

 Must be a graduate of bachelor’s degree in Natural/Physical Sciences, Engineering or other related courses, preferably with Masters units;

 With at least two (2) years of relevant experience;

 With at least sixteen (16) hours of relevant training;

 Knowledgeable on R&D Project Management (Monitoring and Evaluation);

 Able to multi-task and work under pressure with minimum supervision;

 With excellent written and oral communication skills;

 With very good interpersonal abilities, organizing and analytical skills.

Job Description:

 Lead project manager of the STRAP Project with multiple individual projects;

 Facilitates the review and evaluation process of individual proposals and projects to be funded under STRAP, including presentation in PMT Meetings and preparation of GC materials, if necessary;

 Conducts periodic monitoring and evaluation of STRAP projects and other projects assigned by the Division Chief;

 Facilitates the needs and requests of the project e.g. realignment, extension, etc. • Provides input and generate reports for SONA, DOST, IATF, and related internal and external reports for submission;

 Conducts research needed and prepares presentation materials for various purposes;

 Reviews and provides inputs to draft policies, guidelines, bills, etc.;

 Provides administrative support in the conduct of activities, meetings, among others;

 Assists in coordinating with the stakeholders, inter-agency committee members on the conduct of consultation meetings/workshops, as necessary;

 Drafts correspondences and files documents and keep records in accordance with ISO standards;

 Assists in preparing monitoring reports and updates the PMIS/TRACE regularly;

 Prepares working documents and facilitates the conduct of meetings; and

 Performs other duties assigned to her from time to time.
