He asked whether the additional PhP75 million would be for the same building or for a new building. Regarding the NCGG building, President Concepcion stated that he favored demolishing the existing building but was told that the building would be used as evidence in a lawsuit against the contractor. Chairman De Vera says that many issues have arisen in the past surrounding the construction of the NCGG building, making it easier to build a new building than to finish the building.

He suggested assessing the integrity of the entire structure before building on it. The president answered in the affirmative and suggested that a new building be built in another place, because the demolition of the existing building would take a long time, and the money for the construction cannot yet be included in this year's budget. President De Vera said that the government budget does not allow for the allocation of funds for building assessment in the GAA (General Appropriations Act), so it must be funded from internal revenue of the university.

He shared that most of the State Colleges and Universities (SUCs) in their proposed budgets include allocation for the purchase of large buses. The only justification is to transport students or athletes who will participate in certain things or to transport University officials and guests of the President. President Concepcion said he would have to consult with the procurement officers of the SUCs on this matter.
